Thursday, March 31, 2011. It is hard to believe it has not even been 2 months since Ian's accident and his last day of Speech Therapy was today! I think I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. He is allowed to run, skate, bike, etc. just no contact sports. We go back in May for more testing. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Back to School Full Time. Last week Ian started school full time and he was really excited about it. He has a huge mountain to climb but he is determined and working hard. He is doing really well in most of his classes, struggles with a few things in math which we are helping him through. One day at a time, one class at a time! Wednesday, March 9, 2011. Today was a big day for Ian at therapy. His Occupatinal therapist told him that he does not need to see her anymore. His final "test" was to cook which he did and ate his own cooking too. This is good news not just because Ian is improving but also because it gives him more time to catch up on school work. Monday, February 28, 2011. Out of the Prison Cell. It is hard to believe that 2 weeks ago today Ian was fighting for his life and we did not know if he was going to make it. Tonight - we are all home and get to sleep in our own beds under the same roof! She gave Ian a big hug as though she has known him forever. Good night all and God Bless! Sunday, February 27, 2011. Last Night in the Hospital. A Day at Home. It was so great being at the Hockey game last night! Please keep praying for daily progress!

I'm working on building an external battery for my camera. This external battery would be useful for time lapse photography, which also requires some sort of intervalometer. As it happens, the connector on the camera that would allow for an external battery also gives access to the shutter release, so I can combine both features into one widget.
