Poetry by Ana Kyriou. Thursday, July 23, 2015. It hurt, it hurt beyond hurt. Where does it go when it hurts like that. One pain with multiple names. Try to keep afloat – feasible for a while – illusions. Eventually things begin to chip in spots. How many times can porcelain be mended? Instead, drift toward the shadows of your life. The haunted corners, catalogues of arid days:. You’ll come back they said, and it was truth. Choke it into sediment. Some vapor, cold and cloudy. Will escape from memory.

I made this widget. Wednesday, February 1, 2012. How am I doing? Well, I've been feeling a little defeated since starting my program. I did quite well, up until the week between Christmas and New Years. I am off my target date for sure, but I am not giving up! Creative Wiritng Club: Week Two. Today in CWC, as well as writing up our poems neatly (in felt tip on coloured paper), we also wrote Haikus. Normal poetry is one thing, but Haikus? Quiet whispers in your ear. Honeyed drops of bright pollen. Scatter to the earth. Wise teachers, sharing knowledge. Despite the warm...

Imaginings of a Girl Less Likely. .
Imaginings of a Girl Less Likely. . Sunday, June 1, 2014. Crazy bird. So I had to put markers around the nest of 4 little eggs, (of which all hatched) so we wouldn't run over them. It had been a cold spring, so we felt sorry for the poor bird sitting on those eggs in the cold, rain and sometimes snow. But she didn't get flooded! Quite a lot like the adults. They remind me of little colored cotton balls on toothpicks! Tuesday, March 18, 2014. A Little Different Perspective. Hmmm So who are/were they?
