Some thoughts and words. Sunday, January 13, 2013. Cheer up, Fucking cheer up , it might never happen, in fact it already has. Why is everyone so surprised that the Wolfhounds have returned with a stunning new single? Cheer Up is full of chugging guitars , insistent wiry lead guitar, a chorus so catchy that when you sing it to miserable bastards it will be impossible for them not to crack a smile. Only January but it's my single of the year. Cheer Up by The Wolfhounds. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Not Unloved: 2 new 7"s from Those Old Records
http://notunloved.blogspot.com/2015/05/2-new-7s-from-those-old-records.html
Monday, 18 May 2015. 2 new 7"s from Those Old Records. Is a record shop in Rugeley, Staffordshire. They run a mailorder and also a label which has just issued a couple of excellent Emidisc acetates from the 60s (bought from a former Sounds. Journalist, apparently) on 45 for the first time. "Tangled Web". Is a lilting dose of soft psych from the same orbit as The Action. S trippier, less overtly soul-influenced material:. Equally enjoyable is "Train". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A fog of ideas.

this almighty pop!: November 2011
http://woodside-design.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Some thoughts and words. Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Indie pop ain't noise pollution. Roque Ruiz the man behind Cloudberry. Isn't one to mince his words or keep his thoughts to himself , any one who has read his blog. Starts off nice and gentle and then turns nice and noisy. Not sure what instrument is doing the lead parts but I love the sound, a melodica is listed on the sleeve but they must have ran it through a distortion pedal to get that pure sound of joy. Something to think about. This is Canadians...

Not Unloved: The Event
http://notunloved.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-event.html
Tuesday, 28 April 2015. Had I been home when the postman arrived today I would have struggled not to give him a hug as the parcel he had in his bag for me contained the lp on which this giddy-making slice of British Invasion revival (it's from 1989 not 1965) POP appears:. Now, that's how to open an album! I think it's safe to say that the singer has heard Alex Chilton. If you'd asked me a fortnight ago if I'd ever heard The Event. Was only one of a number of tracks on "This Is The Event". A fog of ideas.

A UNIQUE INDIE POP BLOG! Monday, 5 May 2014. His name is Peter Michel, he is only 20 years old. yet he makes some of the finest dreamy pop sounds I've heard lately. Known as Hibou, he talks about craft spells, yummy cheesecakes and his forthcoming debut album. You are only 20 years old! Since when have you been involved with music? I started taking piano lessons when I was 3 years old, followed by the drums, then guitar, and then any instrument I could get my hands on. Were you a member in Craft Spells?
