http://tanvis.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
My name is Max Cutler and this is a blog for my I-101 class. Thursday, February 22, 2007. To convert 110010101 to decimal I first have to separate each position and define them by the base of 2:. Then, where ever there is a one, I use the 2 n below it, and add them all together:. 256 128 0 0 16 0 4 0 1 = 405. Next, I must convert 529 into Binary. So Im. Going to map it out like before, just using the powers of 2, starting arbitrarily from 2 9, just to go another step just in case:. 2 The 'mkdir' command ...

My name is Max Cutler and this is a blog for my I-101 class. Tuesday, April 17, 2007. Sorry about the quality, if you cant read it the text, the first four diamonds saw "Is it greater than" and then "89, 74, 59, and 44" respectively. The last one says "is it less than 44? Finally the bottom squares say "Return" and "A, B, C, D, and F" respectively. Otherwise it shouldn't be too hard to read. Hartley's measure deals with simple yes and no question's to measure information using a log with a base of 2.

I felt the lecture on the semiotics was both somewhat interesting yet common knowledge. It's somewhat. That a common group of people or a general consensus must agree on a symbol to mean something. I felt the Information Theory and the Bit section of the lecture was:. And Probably Very Informative. A definition, we sometimes have to state the obvious!

A non-positional number system is one that does not have to be positioned in any particular way to indicate the value of the number. a non-positional number system could also depend if it corresponds to something else. I am Andrew Deyo and this is my blog for i 101. Friday, March 30, 2007. Thursday, March 8, 2007. De Morgan's law logic gate. This logic gate simulation is more complex than the last one. There are still only two switches but there are now two outputs, two NOT gates, a NAND, and there is an or. this simulation is used to prove DeMorgan's law. This particular logic gate starts out with two switches, an xor and an output. It then has added to it a not, which reverses the origanal output.
