Scorpio Yogini: Not much to say...
http://scorpio-yogini.blogspot.com/2009/10/not-much-to-say.html
Samstag, 10. Oktober 2009. Not much to say. Did a nice sweaty Vinyasa class at home this evening (Seane Corn's Audio Class 3). I like it that she gives so much alignment instructions. It makes you really pay attention and the asanas are more difficult when you don't just rush them. There were nice long holds. Abonnieren Kommentare zum Post (Atom). Mein Profil vollständig anzeigen. http://yogadragonden.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Yoga in the Dragon's Den. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Has anybody out there seen Sense8? If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm referring to the new Netflix original scifi series. That premiered on June 5th, written and executive-produced by Andy and Lana Wachowski. They are doing for millennial politically-aware-character-driven drama what the Matrix. Did for sci-fi action movies. The main characters in Sense8. Warning: Spoiler alert coming! Read no further if you do not want to be spoiled! I am very...

Yoga in the Dragon's Den: Melancholia: A rather inappropriate review; Happy Christmas/moon day
http://yogadragonden.blogspot.com/2011/12/melancholia-rather-inappropriate-review.html
Yoga in the Dragon's Den. Saturday, December 24, 2011. Melancholia: A rather inappropriate review; Happy Christmas/moon day. Image taken from here. Last night, I went to the local movie theater to see Lars von Trier's latest film, Melancholia. Hmm is there a yogic lesson here? Something about expectations, maybe? Could depressed people actually be more yogic, in this sense? Miss Dunst in her, uh, full moonlit glory. Image taken from here. Image taken from here. I've also been wondering how and whether th...

Yoga in the Dragon's Den: Hell is... Hawaii?
http://yogadragonden.blogspot.com/2015/05/hell-is-hawaii.html
Yoga in the Dragon's Den. Thursday, May 21, 2015. Hell is. Hawaii? Hell is other people.". In my Introduction to Philosophy. Class this morning, I discussed the Problem of Evil with my class. Over the centuries, it has been formulated in various ways by various people, but the gist of it is simply this: If God exists and He is all-powerful and morally perfect, how could He allow evil to exist in this world? After some more back-and-forth and a bit of meandering here and there, I decided to try a differen...

Ashtanga-Yoga-Gainesville: February 2012

Grow your own practice. Where to Practice in Gainesville, Florida? Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Making Space with Breath. Sunday and Monday slipped by with no post. Suddenly, I've arrived at Tuesday already. I am grateful that the practice that I do is a breathing practice. I am tired on top of tired today. I managed daily minimum practice: 5A, 5B, lotus. Despite me, the breath manages to slip in, make just the smallest of spaces between tightly coiled thoughts, and soften the edges. Today's Ode to Practi...

Confessions of a Lapsed Triathlete: The Badger is Back
http://trigrrlsalmanac.blogspot.com/2011/04/badger-is-back.html
Confessions of a Lapsed Triathlete. The Badger is Back. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. The Badger is Back. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I haven't blogged in four months. I don't want to hear it. The Badger don't care. She had a lot of shit going on. Before I go much further, you should probably know where this Badger nickname originated. Readers, the reason why the interwebs were invented:. A workout regime for what? You ask. This was my exact question. Back to the nickname. I got to spend the weekend in the Dalles a...

Life, yoga, study, thoughts… as they flow in and out. Lessons from the return…. Edges… →. Monday May 21, 2007. This book got my attention when I heard the author, Richard Dawkins (a professor of evolutionary biology as well as a well-learned man in many areas) in a radio interview. Last night, I saw a documentary based on the book, and man, is it interesting…. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Lessons from the return…. Edges… →. 3 responses to “ The God Delusion. Life, yoga, study, thoughts… as they flow in and out. Over the edge →. Wednesday November 21, 2007. Once I got home I could barely take off my yoga top, and had a brief moment of whimpering with the pain. However, tiger-balming, icing, heat-pads and resting (not all at the same time) seemed to relive the wince-inducing pain. A massage by My Guy also seemed to release some pain. Is one day of rest enough? This entry was posted in ashtanga. Over the edge →. 4 responses to “ edges…. Wow, this is dramatic...
