Cycling Obsessions: July 2010
http://cyclingobsessions.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
An attempt to explain my love of cycling, bikes, people who ride, watching racing, etc. I'm sure I'm not alone here. Friday, July 23, 2010. Can't believe it's almost over. This Tour has been full of bad luck for some - Cadel Evans' broken elbow, Tyler Farrar's broken wrist, Frank Shleck's broken collarbone, to name a few. Some have abandoned, some have soldiered on. Chapeau to Cadel for hanging in there, and to the sprinters for making it over the Alps and the Pyrenees. Tough lads, they are. Until Monday...

Cycling Obsessions: Outside.
http://cyclingobsessions.blogspot.com/2011/02/outside.html
An attempt to explain my love of cycling, bikes, people who ride, watching racing, etc. I'm sure I'm not alone here. Sunday, February 13, 2011. Actually rode my bike outdoors yesterday, for the first time since New Year's Day. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. Even riding in a group, with frequent stops, my breathless struggling to keep up, and people chattering either behind, in front, or beside me, it was still fun. How I have missed it. Cycling Obsessions: November 2010
http://cyclingobsessions.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
An attempt to explain my love of cycling, bikes, people who ride, watching racing, etc. I'm sure I'm not alone here. Saturday, November 27, 2010. Trusting an old friend. Thoughts invade my mind as I pedal, across TV Highway and onto River Road. Got the pump, spare tubes. I have my cell phone. Does anyone know where I'm going? I stop to talk to some pygmy goats along the road, who are bleating at me through the chainlink fence. They are incredibly cute! This is my Thanksgiving. Wednesday, November 3, 2010.

http://trikristin.blogspot.com/2012/09/blue-lake-sprint-tri.html
Team In Training and beyond. Thursday, September 20, 2012. Blue Lake Sprint Tri. What a dork I am! I was checking my blog to view my half marathon run time and realized I never finished my race report from Blue Lake back in June. Oops! Other than transitions. they changed the transition area since 2008 and they are much, much longer, thus the additional time there. Here's the summary comparison:. And some pics from race day:. Post-race beer with my sweetie. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). In 2008, I ...

Sprint Wombat: Nothing snapped
http://sprintwombat.blogspot.com/2012/05/eric-kausky-memorial-race-on-saturday.html
Exaggerated stories about a stout fellow racing bikes in Oregon. Monday, May 7, 2012. For those of you new to track racing this is omnium racing, meaning that there are three different types of races and the overall winner is the one that does best in all three. As more of a sprinter rather than an endurance racer this was going to be a real test for me. The fact that my training schedule was also a couple of months behind all the others was sure to play against me. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Exaggerated stories about a stout fellow racing bikes in Oregon. Monday, April 4, 2011. Cherry Blossom Race Report. Wombat got dropped quicker than . A tea bag at a Starbucks conference on National octo-americano day. A clydesdale with a parachute malfunction. A 7 year-old's broccoli parfait at the entrance to the Wonka factory. A bride's panties on her wedding night. Brads trousers on birthday-thong night. A honey badger at the petting zoo. A keg of IPA washed up on a desert island. Not able to show ful...

Sprint Wombat: First year anniversary - Alpenrose Dairy Clydesdale race
http://sprintwombat.blogspot.com/2010/10/alpenrose-dairy-clydesdale-race.html
Exaggerated stories about a stout fellow racing bikes in Oregon. Monday, October 4, 2010. First year anniversary - Alpenrose Dairy Clydesdale race. Decided to race after pre-walking the course Sat evening and feeling a child-like excitement about riding it the next day. Also, it would be the anniversary of my first race as a Hammer Velo rider. My account of that race (and inaugural race report) is here. Yep, 80 races later, I’m still thereabouts. Wombat sporting the OMG expression (photo: Julie Carter).

Sprint Wombat: 2011 National Masters track Champs - Part one: it's business time!
http://sprintwombat.blogspot.com/2011/08/national-masters-track-champs-its.html
Exaggerated stories about a stout fellow racing bikes in Oregon. Friday, August 5, 2011. 2011 National Masters track Champs - Part one: it's business time! The Trexlertown track, near Allentown PA, is 333m 'round and gorgeously smooth as a big bag of smooth things. The straights are about the same length as my home track (Alpenrose) but the turns are wide, sweeping arcs that seem to go forever. We had won a medal at a National Championship! BA won gold in the 40 team sprint. Day 3 of the meet was a rest ...
