Irish Seed Savers Association, Capparoe, Scarriff, Co. Clare, Ireland. Broccoli, Cauliflower and Sprouts. Courgettes, Pumpkin and Squash. Grown out on field scale, this landrace really held its own on the windy waterlogged hilltop. The plants that didn’t thrive were rogued out so the overall hardiness and vigour of the variety will hold true. These are mostly large plants with large sprouts, holding through the winter though as with most landraces there is some variation. CO = CERTIFIED ORGANIC.

Preservation and protection of the environment. Laquo; Photos from GetGrowing West Cork. GreenFriends Woodland Corofin Anniversary 2015. How to make a vertical garden wooden fence. May 20, 2015 by greenfriendsireland. First , make a nice strong wooden fence, I used old scaffold planks which were the cheapest source of wood. I covered the fence with a plastic liner, so that the damp soil would not rot the wood so quickly, and give a longer life to the fence. I used a staple gun to fix plastic in space.

Bill celebrated a significant birthday at Christmastime, so we decided to treat ourselves to a proper holiday, spending a few days in Munich followed by four days of cross-country skiing in the Austrian alps. This market was set up like a medieval village with miniature wooden buildings. Some of the stalls were beautifully decorated. And the stall holders all dressed in medieval garb. This stall specialised in little fairies and gnomes made from felt and floss. And apples that...

Expats in Ireland: March 2010
http://chrysbillinireland.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 14, 2010. Newgrange, County Meath. In mid-February we took a road trip County Meath in the east part of Ireland, not too far from Dublin, and home to Newgrange, the jewel in Ireland's archeological crown. This is an aerial view of the megalithic mound - the small dots near the recessed entrance to the mound are people waiting to go inside, so that gives you an idea of the size of the mound. In the interior of the mound, the passage widens to a circular chamber with more spiral carvings....
