Life of the Obsessed Age-Group Ironman Athlete. Sunday, October 30, 2011. Ironman World Championships Race Report. Going into the race, I felt almost 100% on the swim and bike but I had no idea how my back would do for the marathon. One day in late August I came to the realization that I had a very high probability of having to walk the marathon. I accepted this reality and just focused on running. Luckily, all of the treatment, stretching and strength training paid off in the final weeks before the race.

No processed carbs (including pasta and rice). Limit starchy veggies to post-workout (potatoes, yams, turnips, parsnips). So, basically, my nutrition boils down to:. Lots of lean meats. Life of the Obsessed Age-Group Ironman Athlete. Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Ironman 70.3 World Championships Race Report. Pre-race expectation: 31:00-34:00 / Actual: 34:11. I walked out of the hotel at 4:45a and couldn't believe my eyes.RAIN, in Vegas? Apparently it rains 27 days out of the year. Oh well, everyone has to deal with it.HTFU! View of the swim start from the other side of Lake Las Vegas. Pre-race expectation: 2:35-2:45 / Actual: 2:42:22. Helped me install on Saturday worked flawlessly!
