Rhinos, Monkeys and a Hedgehog. Finding the Balance between wife, mother, and me. Thursday, December 18, 2008. 25 days - Goal #2. Yesterday it was official - we made it 25 days. Straight this year with no heat. No heater, no air conditioning, no space heater. Nada zip. zero. zilch. And free ball it in the indoor environment department. I was aiming for 1 month,. I don't know, I make 3-4 meals every single day and I don't think it's all that much more fabulous coming from my own hands. But for Monkey1 and Monkey2 - it's downright magical. So Monkey1 and Monkey2 are actually ages 4 and 3 (and actually Isabella and Eloisa). They have intense love affairs that burn bright and hot, then die out all to quickly. A recent love of theirs, tossed to the side in favor of newer shinier things - was Dinosaurs. Or in the very least - get them to play with the darn things! Well - It worked! It's beautiful. Sniff....

On the face of it all, #BlackLivesMatter is such a simple statement that it seems as though it should be too obvious to even bother stating let alone disagreeing with. Do #BlackLivesMatter? Well, of course they do! The fact that anyone would dispute the truth in that statement or feel the need to counter it with statements about how #AllLivesMatter is itself a strong *indictment of the racial issues and defensiveness in the US.
