Monday, January 17, 2011. 10k tempo run and some recovery strength stuff. Followed the CFE site workout today. On the dreadmill. First 5K - 9:22 - 8:47 pace. Second 5K - 9:05 - 7:30 pace. Legs felt a little soupy after the snowshoeing yesterday but I forced myself through it. Afterwards, I did some strength training. Push ups 10, 12, 8, 8, 12 (real ones, not girly ones :). I Tri 4 Downs- Raising money for children with special needs! In 2014, I have a very simple goal- raise money for children with special needs. Last year was a record year for us and we hope 2014 will be even better. I Tri 4 Downs is a company that helps special needs children live life to the fullest! 100% of the money we raise goes towards helping these children. I Tri 4 You. A mother tries to heal from losing her son by training for and racing triathlons. I had a fantastic swim this morning. I know! I felt really good! Just posted highlights from 2013 Ironman Texas. Watching it gave me goosebumps; so many stories and a tremendous amount of inspiration. While Ironman Lake Tahoe (IMLT) will be a different experience (e.g. altitude, temperature, etc), my excitement about IMLT continues to grow – if that’s possible! This morning is a good one. Just Going With It.
