My artistic journey, and the thoughts and feelings associated with it. Friday, February 26, 2010. I came to an artistic epiphany this past week. The most startling thing, however, was the realization that I will never get any better if I don't practice. And not just the quilting. Everything I do. In order to get good, I have to work at it. Thinking about it won't make me a better artist. I need to create art! Now a lot of you are saying, "Well, duh! Well, I'm now buzzing with artistic endeavors! PS By th...

My artistic journey, and the thoughts and feelings associated with it. Monday, March 15, 2010. One of our guild members, Darla Hall, was our speaker at this month's quilt guild. Meeting. Darla has been quilting for about five years, and her trunk show was amazing. She works full time, and commutes 120 miles one way. In addition to her own quilt pieces, she has a long-arm machine, and machine quilts as a side business. She's gotten more done in those five years than I've done in ten! On my commute home th...

My artistic journey, and the thoughts and feelings associated with it. Saturday, February 19, 2011. July 2010 BJP, AVQA Meeting, Terry Waldron, More Fabric. I missed last week's post, so I may not go through the whole two weeks! We'll see. I've been doing a lot of work; I'm really excited! Okay, so what did I miss? July's paisley is done! I've now started August, which is red. I finished the appliqué block for AVQA. So, it became a Mother's Day gift, and now hangs in her living room. If you see Geri ...

PINELANDS TREASURES: Wee Vessel Done
http://pinelandstreasures.blogspot.com/2015/06/wee-vessel-done.html
Art from the Heart of the Pinelands. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Thankfully these small projects don't take long (1-1/2" high x 2-1/2" diameter). This was knitted in the round with 100% wool yarn (last post), then felted with hot water in the washing machine before shaping. I might embellish it someday, but for now I like it as is. Wirth Beading: My Bead Journal Project - January -In progress...
http://wirthbeading.blogspot.com/2010/01/my-bead-journal-project-january-in.html
My journey through the World.of Beading. Art.Life! Tuesday, January 12, 2010. My Bead Journal Project - January -In progress. Ok, well, here is my first attempt at bead journaling beading on fabric. Stiff felt this time). I am using 6"X9" as my size for the year. I decided to put the beads I am working with on a bead pad instead. Of that clear plastic tray - it was too full of static and all my beads went. So, I am busy beading and just wanted to get some pictures out to. January 12, 2010 at 5:24 PM.

Wirth Beading: February's BeadworkJournal in progress
http://wirthbeading.blogspot.com/2010/03/februarys-beadworkjournal-in-progress.html
My journey through the World.of Beading. Art.Life! Monday, March 22, 2010. February's BeadworkJournal in progress. I HAD a piece of music/song for an inspiration and to be playing on my "Playlist" for this piece. After I had already started my work, somehow the piece of music was recorded over with some unknown person singing (rather off key) a different song by Carol King than the song I had on my list.which was (of course) "Tapestry". I was perfect, but NOoooo! Your input is welcomed. Whytefeather....

My husband got it the full week before Christmas and he was so very sweet to share it with me a few days later. Oh what fun! I am now ready to really start beading, and the Bead Journal Project is just what the doctor ordered! So, here are a couple photos and I will post more next time. Cant wait to see it!
