Henderson Happenings: When Something is Not Quite Right
http://abbeyhenderson.blogspot.com/2014/05/when-something-is-not-quite-right.html
Thursday, May 1, 2014. When Something is Not Quite Right. The following guest post was written by Curren's beloved preschool teacher, Mrs. Toni Bingham. Toni was instrumental in diagnosing Curren's Autism at an early age, enabling us to get him the treatment needed to overcome the many obstacles that Autism presents. Thank you Ms. Toni! Around April 14, 2012, I wrote one of the most difficult letters I had ever written concerning a child (Curren H.) with a suspected autism spectrum disorder. As a mother ...

Henderson Happenings: Curren Flies and Fishes
http://abbeyhenderson.blogspot.com/2010/09/curren-flies-and-fishes.html
Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Curren Flies and Fishes. As you can see, we had a great time at the Burleson lake house this past weekend. Yes, Curren really is flying that high in the air; it is not a trick of photoshop (I was busy terrifying my friend Heather on the jet ski when this was taken, or I probably would have put the kibosh on the baby tossing). If you look closely, he is smiling! Our little sensory seeker. :). But we finally got the clear from the doctor today to cut back to twice a day. We...

Henderson Happenings: Florida Recap
http://abbeyhenderson.blogspot.com/2010/07/florida-recap.html
Thursday, July 1, 2010. Our trip to Florida was great. The kids and I spent 8 days in Miami with my family and then met Scott for 3 days in Orlando (he had a conference there). I'm swamped with work and have a deadline for the Junior League newsletter, so I'm going to recap the trip in bullets (and without my usual wit, haha). She fed him lunch and played with him while I watched Young and the Restless (why am I admitting this to you all? He is our future Michael Phelps (minus the pot scandal). Disney wa...

Henderson Happenings: Holy Cow! Where has the time gone?
http://abbeyhenderson.blogspot.com/2011/05/holy-cow-where-has-time-gone.html
Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Where has the time gone? My poor neglected blog. It still says "Back to School" on the side! It's so hard to believe, but school will be out for my little kindergartener next week. I am not sure who is more sad about this, me or her! He can spell his name! When I say this kid has a love of learning, I am not kidding. He sees and points out letters and numbers everywhere and is just a joy to be around. The rest of the kids' summer will be spent with a nanny in the mornings while I w...

Henderson Happenings: Halloween and Other Funnies
http://abbeyhenderson.blogspot.com/2010/11/halloween-and-other-funnies.html
Wednesday, November 3, 2010. Halloween and Other Funnies. Lastly, I included a picture of Scott and I from our recent trip to the Ritz Carlton in Cancun (pretty sure the folks at American Express will be laughing when they get that bill! We had the best time. Well, I had the best time. Scott worked quite a bit, but I worked out, lounged by the pool, and enjoyed several long dinners with my handsome husband. All in all, not a bad trip. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). FEEDJIT Live Traffic Feed.

Henderson Happenings: Gone But Not Forgotten...
http://abbeyhenderson.blogspot.com/2010/08/gone-but-not-forgotten.html
Sunday, August 29, 2010. Gone But Not Forgotten. My poor little blog.you have been so neglected lately. It's not that I don't think about posting; it's just that I have so little time. And what little time I do have, well, I'd usually rather spend it sleeping. If you have kids, I'm sure you understand. Abbey says some funny stuff. To wit, here's what we've heard lately:. Scott recently asked Abbey what she would watch if she could only watch one show for the rest of her life. Her answer?

Henderson Happenings: East Coast Vacay
http://abbeyhenderson.blogspot.com/2011/06/east-coast-vacay.html
Thursday, June 30, 2011. The kids and I just had the most wonderful 10-day vacation on the East Coast with my family. Unfortunately, Scott was not able to come, but someone has to work, right? We started out with 5 days in Miami with my family, where both kids had a great time playing with their cousins, Richie and Cole. The motorized cars were a huge hit (although you can't really tell from the look on Curren's face! Amazingly, there were no capsizing incidents. Well, my cousin Libby did capsize onc...
