Monday, November 24, 2008. I wanted to post some pictures of Halloween. A friend let us borrow a costume so Benjamin was a monkey and Jacob and I were zoo keepers for Trunk or Treat at the church. I though that was really clever. We decorated our trunk with stuffed monkeys hanging all around and a couple in laundry basket cages (as shown below). Monday, September 22, 2008. Benjamin really laughed earlier this month! September 5th was his first laugh, when his dad tickled him - we haven't really been able to get him to laugh like that again. Here I am attempting to get him to laugh and make a video at the same time for your viewing pleasure. Thursday, August 7, 2008. Trying this whole "Blog" thing out. It seems like everybody's got a Blog these days, so I thought we'd give one a try - mostly for sharing pictures and such with far away family. Because you really want your child to 'need' an MP3 player before they can even talk :) ) The surge protectors are evidence that we haven't really gotten settled in yet. My dad and sister Hannah came to visit at the end of June. The boys feed off of other people's energy, so they were bouncing off the walls the whole time. Hannah had just finished a semester at college and wanted nothing more to sleep, but the boys weren't very accommodating :). While they were here, we went to the OKC zoo for their $1 admission day, but it was so hot and humid that we didn't last long. Kimball and rhino bums. After that we drove down to Norman and went to the Sam Noble Museum of Science.

After my Dad and sister visited. They took the boys back to NM with them. It was the boys' first time going to Grandma and Grandpa's house without us, and they were so excited! The boys had been anticipating Lily's birthday for months. They kept asking how much longer until she was one. The best way to escape the Oklahoma heat is to run away! This year we went to Colorado for the Rex reunion. We arranged to go a few days early and stay in a cabin with the Ferrells. Lily is 6 months! Lily-Loo, I keep telling you to stop growing (so does Daddy), but you just won't listen! My heart feels like it is simultaneously bursting with pride while breaking into little pieces watching my baby grow up so fast. Though, apparently you didn't actually grow height-wise since you were 4 months old. You did gain some weight though.15 lb 8 oz (50th percentile). Though you started out as our biggest baby, you are now our smallest baby at 6 months old. Discovered the "guh" sound (12/18).

But found out it would make me loopy so I declined and asked for the epidural and was told it would be about 20 minutes. I got to hold her skin-to-skin immediately and she was so incredibly beautiful. Thankfully my mom was in town to help with the boys. They were so excited to meet their baby sister! Kimball gave this bear to Lily. Unfortunately Lily had jaundice and had to stay an extra day to be on billi lights. Finally ready to go home, in the same outfit I wore home from the hospital when I was born.

We'll see what the unpredictable excitement will be! I have had a lot of thoughts that I've been thinking of sharing, but I'm just never near anywhere to write them down. Hobbs Everlasting

Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Day 36 Sunday July 19th. Today we went sailing with Alexandre and Flavia one last time. It was such a beautiful day to be out on the water. We went farther out this time (to the north side of sugarloaf) and saw more things. We lost a hat and were able to retrieve it and I got to sit in the front much of the time. After sailing and lunch, Tyler played in the playground (of the São Francisco sailing club) and the adults relaxed and lounged by the water. Day 37 Monday July 20th.
