Monday, December 20, 2010. Our neighbour Jo has been troubled for some time with water under her house, to the extent that her backyard has become a swamp. After some time, and an attempt to shift the blame to her downpipes, Southern Water turned up this afternoon to deal with it (and in a typically Tasmanian way the guy in charge was the brother of Jo's ex-housemate). What Marty wants to do when he grows up. There goes the front garden. What an exciting afternoon! And a Merry Christmas to all our readers.

Just like a number of others, but in this case four "sheep" detached themselves from the flock and raced towards us barking savagely. These were Maremma sheepdogs. I am using up some items I have in the fridge and pantry. 1 can green enchilada sauce (or if you have preferred recipe, use that.I need to find one). 2 large chicken breasts. 1 large onion, sliced. 1 cup Jalapeno and artichoke dip from Costco (alternately add 1 Cup sour cream, plus diced artichoke hearts, and chopped japalenos). Last week we were lucky enough to visit beautiful Lord Howe Island along with five students from Rosny College who were the winners of the Envirothon competition, run by The Bookend Trust. Thursday, February 18, 2010. My mum always made these beans. I tweaked the recipe a little because her's are sweeter than I like:. Soak 1 lb beans overnight. Next morning, boil for 1 hr. In bean pot, put 1/4 cup molasses, 1/4 cup tomato paste, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1 Tablespoon mustard. Quarter 1 onion, and put in pot along with the beans. Cover beans with water, and put block of salt pork on top. Cover. Bake for 7hrs at 300 degrees, then test for doneness. Keep cooking without lid for 1 more hour.

Unfortunately, the plan being presented is so limited in scope that I can't imagine it would achieve very much at all, were it to be implemented. There are three phases being proposed. Firstly, linking the edge of Bishopton to the Red Smiddy Roundabout. This is a 60mph road that barely has a usable pavement at present. It could certainly do with cycling facilities. Cycle facilities are being proposed here.
