Who We Are : Our Story. Mitchell Funeral Home was founded in March 1951 by the late E.D. Mitchell and his wife Eula Mae Mitchell. Following Mr. Mitchell's death in July 1972, the funeral home was purchased in September 1973 by business partners and longtime friends, Leland James and James N. Lipford Jr. This led to the name being changed to its present title, James and Lipford Funeral Home. Graceville, FL 32440.

Sunday, July 19, 2015. We celebrated Magnus' birthday the Sunday after he turned one. We "celebrated" his actual birthday with a doctor's appointment complete with a blood draw and shots. Sorry, kid! I made Magnus' "Magnus" banner with card stock and ribbon. I realized he needed a name banner a week or so before his birthday. The day before his birthday, Mags had his 1 year check up. He's kind of a small kid but he's growing and hitting his milestones. He started walking around 10 1/2 months. Unfortunate...

Thursday, April 30. At the beginning of November James and I met up with Gary and Isabel. To run the Santa Barbara Half Marathon. It was such a pretty course. And such a blast to run it with Isabel. What a strong lady! She helped me finish with my fastest half marathon time yet. I wish I was as cool as she is at 16. She's going to do some pretty awesome things in this world. The last mile was the Veteran's mile. It was lined with American flags,. And some service men cheering us on. I love those ladies.
