Ride Report: Day 8. Day 8 / Thursday, June 19, 2008. I was woken up by a herd of crows that were trying to get my oatmeal packets open. This was the view from my tent at about 5 am local time. Ride Report: Day 11. Day 11 / Sunday, June 22, 2008. We got up early but couldn't get rolling right away since we found a flat in Chris' back tire. No problem. In my research for this trip, I learned that going as early as possible in the season is advisable to try and avoid the swarms of mosquitoes that come alive in July and August. Going in May might be a bit risky with the weather, as snow probably still falls across the upper region, so June it is. Saturday, December 30, 2006. Previous Stop: Outbound Travel. A typical street in Brussels: buildings close to each other, one way traffic jammed with cars and nice stores. Graffiti in the subway. I found it strange that their subway system is based on an honor system. You don't have to go through a little gate to get to the platform, you're just expected to have paid for a ticket. Wednesday, January 10, 2007. Europe - Travel Inbound. To go to the start of the trip. Previous Stop: Venice and Milan. To get over jet lag on the way back, I had to stay awake the whole flight and the whole next day so that at night back at home, I would fall asleep easily when it was actually waking up time in Europe. Luckily Alitalia had a great in-flight entertainment system with Audio/Video on Demand (meaning I could start/stop/pause whenever I wanted). Back to Trip Index. Monday, January 08, 2007.

Ride Report: Day 4. Day 4 / Monday, August 31, 2009. The next morning I took advantage of the private shower rooms as I figured I would be roughing it from here on out on the trail. I was enjoying my new shaved head look and instead of letting it grow back by the time the trip ended, I decided it was here to stay. No more squished helmet hair. The next morning, there were 5 dogs running around my site. A great way to wake up. Aww, aren't they just so cute. They responded to my "sit" command right away.

Wednesday, July 25, 2007. Look what followed me home. Ok, she's not mine, but my roommate, Joe got a new doggie! She's a 6 month old Blue Nose Pit Bull. He got it from a friend who didn't have time to take care of her. Her name's Zoey and she's a very loveable doggie and already loves her new home :). She quickly claimed the bed and was sniffing around everywhere. She loves me :). Zoey loves getting attention and kisses. And also loves giving kisses back. She's quite the licker. Full-time living in an RV. Saturday, August 1, 2015. The new floor is down. All that's left is the trim work! Soon we'll be heading south (Phx AZ) to have our. Built-in desks installed by a family member. No unfortunately he's not for hire at this time! We also just finished up a family visit here in town. With the grand babies!
