Project 3: Arucania Pomaire scarf done | Peach's Projects
https://peachsprojects.wordpress.com/2009/06/09/project-3-arucania-pomaire-scarf-done
June 9, 2009. Project 3: Arucania Pomaire scarf done. 8212; kimberleyaroper @ 4:00 am. I’ve finally finished the Arucania Pomaire scarf. It’s not a difficult pattern nor is it a long project, I’ve just been busy with other stuff. Apricot is always a willing model🙂. I’m still working on the other parts of Project 3 and I’ll post them once they’re finished and received. Leave a Comment ». Feed for comments on this post. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Project 1: Ready to mail | Peach's Projects
https://peachsprojects.wordpress.com/2009/03/20/project-1-ready-to-mail
March 20, 2009. Project 1: Ready to mail. 8212; kimberleyaroper @ 9:57 pm. The small red blanket pulled a fast one in the laundry: The yarn relaxed to the point of becoming more like a normal sized baby blanket, stretching by several centimetres in each direction. It’s less stiff and more drapey now (not that it was stiff before), with the knit noticeably less tight. It kept its shape prior to washing, but now … it’s going to have its own mind about shape. Going into a box for the mail …. Why do I knit?

Project 3: Update–Convincing myself it’s not really camo … | Peach's Projects
https://peachsprojects.wordpress.com/2009/02/24/project-3-update-convincing-myself-its-not-really-camo
February 24, 2009. Project 3: Update–Convincing myself it’s not really camo …. 8212; kimberleyaroper @ 9:24 pm. I haven’t done much on either item in Project 3, but I was chomping at the bit to see how that Araucania would knit up. Frogged it three times, once for sizing and twice because I screwed it up somehow. I must have been ridiculously tired to have knit in the tail instead of the working thread … D’Oh! Araucania scarf, no flash, to show the texture. With the flash, to show the colours. I have to ...

Project 6: Bigga scarf | Peach's Projects
https://peachsprojects.wordpress.com/2009/04/27/project-6-bigga-scarf
April 27, 2009. Project 6: Bigga scarf. 8212; kimberleyaroper @ 8:29 pm. Enough ranting. This yarn is … huge. Literally. A 100 g ball of this stuff has a yardage of only 40 m. As usual, I’m making a scarf. I have far too many things that will become scarves so I have to keep reminding myself that it’s the journey, not the destination (unless, of course, I’m making something for someone else). I adapted the “Flirty Scarf” pattern on Ravelry and Purls Gone Wild. Bigga scarf, with pen for size reference.

Project 8: Christmas Ornaments | Peach's Projects
https://peachsprojects.wordpress.com/2009/11/24/project-8-christmas-ornaments
November 24, 2009. Project 8: Christmas Ornaments. 8212; kimberleyaroper @ 4:36 am. You have been warned: The rule was “Stash yarn only.” Oy … I have novelty yarn in my stash, and the really “Christmassy” ornament patterns require wool, or tiny-weight cotton, or DPNs, or …. Okay, who doesn’t love a mini purse? Don’t say it or I’ll bring out the DPNs.). Gozilla loves mini purses. Yes, even the bead strings were “stash.” I think I did okay. Leave a Comment ». Project 5: Matrix Shawl | Peach's Projects
https://peachsprojects.wordpress.com/2009/04/09/project-5-matrix-shawl
April 9, 2009. Project 5: Matrix Shawl. 8212; kimberleyaroper @ 2:37 am. I was uninspired by my works in progress, so I started what I was hoping would be be quick project for summer wear: A simple triangle shawl in Bernat Matrix, Acid Axis colourway (blue and green). On Ravelry, it’s the Trellis Triangle Shawl from Lion Brand, “Trellis” being the Lion Brand ladder yarn. Bernat Matrix yarn in Acid Axis colourway (photo from Joann.com). I just happened to have the huge needles on hand (yay! You are a maso...

Update | Peach's Projects
https://peachsprojects.wordpress.com/2009/10/14/update
October 14, 2009. 8212; kimberleyaroper @ 10:37 pm. I haven’t been knitting much over the summer (too warm! But now that it’s cooler outside I’m back at it. Okay, so what’s on the updated Project list? Blog is concrete; list is partly speculative. Let’s see, what have I done lately? I made wristwarmers/fingerless gloves for Apricot and myself–mine are Queensland pima cotton and Apricot’s are millends stuff, Bernat Soft Boucle, I think. (Added after-the-fact as part of new Project 8. My ex did, but that d...

https://peachsprojects.wordpress.com/2009/04/06/project-1-arrived
April 6, 2009. 8212; kimberleyaroper @ 3:26 am. It took me a little while to get the blankie mailed, but the little princess has it now. I’m hoping mom or dad will send me a photo🙂. Project 5: Matrix shawl, completed | Peach's Projects
https://peachsprojects.wordpress.com/2009/04/27/project-5-matrix-shawl-completed
April 27, 2009. Project 5: Matrix shawl, completed. 8212; kimberleyaroper @ 7:38 pm. I finished the Matrix shawl abut 10 days ago but hadn’t uploaded my photos until a little while ago. It was a gift to a friend who is, thankfully, taller than I am–the fringe would have made it far too long on me. I have plenty of Matrix left over if I want to make one for myself, but I’d have to reduce the pattern or use smaller needles. Matrix shawl, before fringe. Matrix shawl, up close. Leave a Comment ». Project 1: Now to wash it | Peach's Projects
https://peachsprojects.wordpress.com/2009/03/15/project-1-now-to-wash-it
March 15, 2009. Project 1: Now to wash it. 8212; kimberleyaroper @ 4:00 am. The blankie is all done except for the washing. I’m not confident that the ends will stay tucked in (I approach weaving in in a rather neanderthal fashion), so let’s hope. Wooly Blankie - All done! Thats my pen, for size. The yarn isn’t as orange as it appears in the photos. It’s a very strong red. Strong colours are better distinguished by babies (how do people figure this out? So I’m happy with the choice. I’ll start on t...
