Ayres Family: February 2011
http://kristenayres.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Lilypie Second Birthday tickers. Thursday, February 24, 2011. Ava got her first hair cut. After the daycare sending her home with her hair fixed b/c david would take the stuff to them and say HELP! It was finally time to get her hair cut. We were going to just have them do the bangs, but ended up trim the back up all even. She did great, she just sat there watching Dora and drove her cool little car. Only thing I don't like is that now she looks all grown up! Links to this post. On day 3 of being stuck i...

Lilypie Second Birthday tickers. Wednesday, June 15, 2011. David had the honor of marring one of his best friends last month! How awesome is that! Every time he speaks (in public.not always at home haha) I'm just amazed at how much of a gift God has given him! He made it so personal! Sorry for the bad pictures, it was dark and I was trying to take pictures without being that annoying picture person! Checking out the cake.mmm it was so yummy! Look how handsome he is! The game center pieces! These pictures...

anamchara: Catching Up: End of Break, the Psalms
http://kelliwog.blogspot.com/2010/04/catching-up-end-of-break-psalms_17.html
An offering for spiritual friendship. Catching Up: End of Break, the Psalms. A friend of mine at church here mentioned that he’s been reading my blog. He seems like a cool guy, so I was surprised to discover that he has no life. (Just kidding, Martin! And then I decided that I’ve been neglectful of the ol’ blog, and I should write something. Baked bread (and devoured it! I even got a little work done… not as much as I’d like, but hey, there’s still one week left! Monastic life was characterized by the da...

Ayres Family: July 2010
http://kristenayres.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Lilypie Second Birthday tickers. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Dear Ole Sooner Youth Camp! David and I went to help out at Sooner Youth Camp. He was a bible teacher for the youngest age and I was the nurse. It was so much fun. We had both gone there once as campers, but it was so much more fun as adults! We both grew a lot from it and got a much needed break from Ava. Speaking of that.this was the first time we had ever left her! She stayed with my mom and even got to have a couple of days with her cousin Addy!

anamchara: Thanksgiving Special
http://kelliwog.blogspot.com/2009/11/thanksgiving-special.html
An offering for spiritual friendship. Seriously, what's Thanksgiving without this? Whenever my brother, Russell, is feeling up to it, he cooks our turkey in the backyard in an (unused) aluminum can (sort of like Oscar the Grouch's abode). They call it a 'litter bin' here. 'Garbage' is strictly an American word (apparently), and 'trash' has stronger negative connotations than at home. I usually end up calling it a 'traaaaa - - litter bin? What do the Brits think about our Thanksgiving holiday anyway?

anamchara: Snow: Atlanta and Oxford
http://kelliwog.blogspot.com/2010/01/snow-atlanta-and-oxford.html
An offering for spiritual friendship. Snow: Atlanta and Oxford. I’m back in Oxford, and it is a winter wonderland. Meanwhile, I cannot get "You Can Never Hold Back Spring" out of my head. (Thanks, Amber.) Is this delusion or optimism on the part of my subconscious? There can be such a fine line between the two. Or maybe a cruel joke? Similarity #2: No one knows how to walk in the snow. I’m picking my way over sidewalks with the same amount of caution and nervousness as a local. There was ev...Kent came r...

Waiting Room: October 2008
http://ensims.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
View my complete profile. Coming soon, from Pixar…. Of Linen and Grace. Monday, October 27, 2008. There a couple things I am still trying to figure out here. Like, how come they do not have a pledge to the state flag? Do they even have a state song? I know there is a bird, flower, tree and all that but what about the important things. Why is there no “Texas State Fair” in Virginia, it’s just not the same with out Big Tex and his “Howdy Y’all! And this is Erin again 3 months ago when a so called friend pa...
