Jeff's Surprise 30th Party. You only turn 30 once and I knew when we got married that I wanted to throw Jeff a surprise party for his 30th. Jeff is awesome at keeping secrets and always surprises me with dates, presents, flowers, etc. I on the other hand have a really hard time pulling genuine surprises off for him. Inka Trail - day 3 - The Gringo Killer. Jeff kept his i-pone charged the entire hike with his solar panel, he was so proud! It rained on us pretty good for a little bit this day and was pretty chilly. 2nd ruin of the day. Lunch break before taking on the gringo killer. The very beginning of the Gringo Killer. This will hopefully give an insight to how steep it really was. Ruin #3 and by far my favorite of the day. The view from the ruins. 3 week old baby llama, it was the cutest thing. Side Note: After 3 X's of booking our Peru trip and finding out later after we thought it was booked that something happened and it wasn't booked after all May was no longer an option to go. So even though we are going to Peru in July it is still for our anniversary. He's cute and oh so spoiled! This is how every car ride goes, he sticks his head out until he can't breathe any longer and ducks back in just long enough to get a breath. Silly dog. We just finished up what will hopefully be the last big painting projects at our house! We painted our office a sandy-taupe color and after thinking our kitchen island was too dark for months I broke down and repainted it. So that last leg of the trip took a lot longer than we thought it would as we were only able to drive 50 MPH on the spare tire for the last 100 miles. It was really interesting and we learned a lot. The bombing claimed 168 lives and left over 800 people injured. The blast destroyed or damaged 324 buildings in a sixteen-block radius, destroyed or burned 86 cars around the site, and shattered glass in 258 nearby buildings.
