Saturday, January 18, 2014. Now this is just embarrassing! I am again summarizing an entire year with a single post. Let's hope 2014 holds way more time for blogging. In January I visited NYC (I really do love that city). To hang with my dear friend E.T. and my lovely big brother. E.T. and I saw this wonderful play called "Duchess"and I was able to meet this Golden Globe Winner. Such a great weekend with E.T. I do love this kid. Is it wrong to love an object? She is one of my absolute favorite things.

Thursday, February 6, 2014. I knew that when I was able to get two months off to move from Virginia to Utah that I would be spending a good chunk of time in Florida. Partly because I'm over the Cold but most especially to spend time with my people. If you're reading this, then you are my people and you know how important friendships and relationships are to me. Halfway through the Sabbatical, I have no regrets. Here's who I was able to see as I trekked down I-95 and crisscrossed my way through Florida.

Tuesday, January 28, 2014. It was September 5th and I was sitting on my friend Rachel's back deck discussing life and choices and a million other things. She was talking and I was listening when she said "Well if it doesn't work out. I'll just move to Utah! It hit me so hard, as if she had physically hit me over the head. She continued to speak and I looked at her and said "I need a minute.". I called best friends. I tossed it over and over in my mind and at the end of the day I knew what had to be done.

Monday, September 26, 2011. When you toddler is smarter than you are. So the other day Brendan was driving with Skyler. He heard a siren and told Skyler, "look Skyler, a firetruck." As the siren got closer, Skyler looked at it and said, "Actually Daddy, that's an ambulance not a firetruck. It may look like a fire truck and sound like a firetruck, but it's an ambulance.". Sunday, October 10, 2010. Our most recent Workshop for work was held in Chicago. It was an exhausting weekend but it went really well. The highlight of the weekend, however, was the company of this wonderful lady. Oh how I adore Jenny. Chicago is our city, so she made the trek and we spent the weekend eating, laughing, crying and just catching up. She is the greatest friend. I'd be lost without her. I cannot get enough of this little Chunk. He is such a cutie! It was a lot of fun. He's such a big boy!

Tuesday, April 27, 2010. NYC in 30 Hours. This is my sister. If you don't know her, you should. She cracks me up and any time I get to spend a few hours with her, I'm all over it. Well she was running a half-marathon ( go Melissa! In NYC this last weekend, so I jumped on a train with my roommate Julie and met her for the day. Friday, June 12, 2015. A Mother's Reflection on Family Pictures. I have a love/hate relationship with family pictures. I love to see them, stare at them, frame them, shop for them but I HATE to get ready for them and take them. It is like the Nazis are coming and the house is on fire.
