Breath slow to make each breath not the last one. Blue sky. Beautiful. Dead baby still not here. Still not three nor playing with her siblings. They ask often what she would be doing. She is always reckoned in the family sums. She is always the jagged hole in the black ice of my heart. Grief doesn’t tidy away like socks.
