Land's End to John O'Groats. Wednesday, 25 July 2012. 10 Days and Counting. I had a lovely ride this morning, 60 miles out to Aboyne and back in the sunshine. I spent a lot of time thinking about what to pack and how many pairs of flip-flops to take, I never have been any good at travelling light, but I will have to make a big effort this time. Land's End to John O'Groats. Sunday, 12 August 2012. Day 8 - Slaidburn to Keswick 68 miles. According to Peak Tours, this is "a great day in the saddle". For the first few miles I was out of my saddle more than I was in it so the day may have to be re-described! Chicken and Charley reach the top of the climb. Rachel and me at Kendal. We have ridden 500 miles and we will ride 500 more! The arrival into Keswick was another fantastic descent and we soon found the Youth Hostel on the banks of the river.
