I am a people watcher. I sold hand painted items in craft shows for several years and never grew tired of watching people as they came through my booth. Faces and body language fascinate me. I started working in the print industry over 10 years ago and have grown with it, adding skills as it evolved. Mastering new software on the job was nerve wracking at times, but the success was exhilarating. My co-workers accused me more than once of having software envy. My position with a local daily newspaper was eliminated, prompting me to earn an Associate's of Applied Science Degree in graphic design. The classes helped me refine my graphic design skills. Web design is an art form that satisfies my artistic side while letting me play with what I love technical. I find creating websites exciting. It's a challenge to create a website that is aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. I started by teaching myself HTML for my first website that sold wooden, hand painted items over the internet. There is always something to learn and keeps my interest fresh. The websites are no longer viable.
