Jared's Adventures in South America

Jared's Adventures in South America. Wednesday, October 20, 2010. One month to go. Since my last update I’ve been in my site, Tomas, running around like a madman doing a variety of environmental work, doing Peace Corps required reports and documents, and getting things ready to my replacement PCV. Throughout all this I’m making sure to leave time to enjoy a lunch with friends, visit some “relatives”, and celebrate my town’s 77. Let me tell you a little about it. Work recently has been going very well.

Jared's Adventures in South America: July 2010

http://www.jaredbrandell.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Jared's Adventures in South America. Wednesday, July 28, 2010. The month of July is almost over, Peruvian Independence day is here and I only have 4 more months as a PCV. With only 4 months left, I can happily say that I have visible results (finally! As a PCV. I guess the first 18 months or so were worth it to be able to have accomplished something worthwhile and important. The view from high above my town, pretty much the ceiling of the western hemisphere. Standing on the Glacier at Huaytapallana.

http://www.jaredbrandell.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Jared's Adventures in South America. Friday, March 26, 2010. Life has been moving quickly. Trees have been planted, school has started and all the students are back, world map painting has begun, we are making advances in our community landfill project, and many educational activities are being prepared! Overall, life in Tomas is busy and that is a good thing. Apart from my life here, I recently had the experience to work with a group of 16 PCVs and the Connecticut based NGO Builders Beyond Borders.

Kevin's Korean Adventure: Fun Korean Myths

http://kimchicreations.blogspot.com/2009/01/fun-korean-myths.html

Saturday, January 10, 2009. First off, let me apologize. I realize I haven't been very good about updating this. There are a few reasons for that. First, as most of you know, I'm a bit of a procrastinator. I sometimes need something to kick me in the rear a little bit, and since most of my rear-kickers are across the ocean, I haven't been very good at keeping this up to date. 8221; She asked this completely seriously. This one is not as widely accepted as the other two, but it's much more entertainin...

http://kimchicreations.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 16, 2008. Korean Fun Facts pt. 1. 2They put weird things on pizza here. I've seen corn, pototoes, sweet potatoes, carrots and God knows what else. There are a few places that have good pizza, but you have to be careful. 4 If you want real frosted flakes here, don't trust Tony. Tony the Tiger's face gets plastered on corn flakes, and slightly sweetened corn flakes masquerading as frosted flakes. If you want real frosted flakes, look for Flion the Lion. Not even joking. One month to go.

Kevin's Korean Adventure: Three Days in the Biggest City in the World

http://kimchicreations.blogspot.com/2009/01/three-days-in-biggest-city-in-world.html

Saturday, January 31, 2009. Three Days in the Biggest City in the World. Monday was Chinese New Year (or as it's know in Korea, Lunar New Year), and seeing as it's the one of only two holidays between Christmas and the end of my contract, I thought I should probably make good use of the time. Before I came over I said I wanted to see Japan and China, so I took this opportunity to make my way over to the Land of the Rising Sun. It was nice to get out and travel a little again. I haven't done a short t...

Contemplation of Liberation- Piura Vida: A Little Bit of Sum'n

http://ryanpuravida.blogspot.com/2010/02/little-bit-of-sumn.html

Friday, February 26, 2010. A Little Bit of Sum'n. You can hold you're laughter back about the. I now almost enjoy. Intestines of cow and pig) and prefer. Pig intestine filled with blood, Yuca Leaf, and Yerba Buena),. 2 years of Peruvian life begins now. My attempt to stay connected to my friends and family in the states. Hopefully my entries aren´t too boring.no guarantees. Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Oh to be a PCV! It´s funny how you can guess and predict how things might be, but you will never really understand what it feels like until you experience it. Does that make sense? Or "When are you going to start working? One interesting thing about the area I live is that after the earthquake in 2007, there has been an ...

2 years of Peruvian life begins now. My attempt to stay connected to my friends and family in the states. Hopefully my entries aren´t too boring.no guarantees. Wednesday, December 24, 2008. I thought I´d write today since I have time and today (Christmas Eve) is really more of a celebration here in Peru than actual Christmas day. I thought I´d also take this time to talk about how x-mas is celebrated down here. And give out toys to children. A chocolatada is a giving of hot chocolate and paneton. I guess...

After a trip through the Southwest corridor of the United States, I was inspired to take what I perceived and rebrand Southwest Airlines. Capturing the colors, moods, and accents of the desert, my goal was to make Southwest an airline for the adventurous extrovert that wants to see the world; One place at a time. I made use of diagonal lines and rotated content to add some energy into the website and mirror the kind of energy that djs must produce in the crowds they perform for. JARED BRANDON - DO GOOD. BE WELL.

DO GOOD. BE WELL. Putting the Bullet In the Bulletin: One Year Later. August 16, 2015. At this time last year I was neck deep in designing the content and layout of a print piece that would replace our aging bulletin. As we’re moving into the fall season and ramping up communications for our fall kick off series, I’m taking some time to evaluate the effectiveness of the changes we made a year ago. Here’s the story. Enhance communications on digital platforms (website, social media). What have we lost?
