Is een klein reizend schilderij met de droom om in 365 dagen een reis rond de wereld te maken. Gebaseerd op Phileas Fogg uit het boek Reis om de wereld in 80 dagen. Van Jules Verne, vertrok Phileas. Op 23 maart 2011 terug thuis is, dan krijgt iedereen die hem op zijn reis verder geholpen heeft een cadeau van mij! Als je het schilderij van iemand die je kent gekregen hebt, kun je er enkele dagen van genieten. Niet te lang natuurlijk - hij heeft een lange reis voor de boeg! Dan is het tijd om Phileas.

Phileas started his journey around the world, almost one year ago. After 363 days of travel, he should be in New Zealand, and that's about halfway across the globe. I expected my painting would've travelled faster, that it would've been back home already. In the accompanying letter, I stated that everybody who helped Phileas travel around the globe in one year, would receive some kind of gift, a present. Looking forward to hear from New Zealand! After spending half a year travelling Belgium and the Netherlands, Phileas is off to Spain. I'm not sure where he is exactly, so Madrid seems like a good choice. Just under 2000kms travelled. Phileas is in Spain now and we made a picture of all the teachers in our artproject with Phileas. I gave Phileas to the teachers of Italy, so Phileas is traveling to Italy in the end of the week. Finally a message from Phileas! He's in Waalwijk at the moment, in the south of the Netherlands. Een stil half jaar.

Het zal de zomer zijn. Opnieuw al anderhalve maand windstilte voor Phileas, het zal de zomer zijn, vermoed ik. Abonneren op: Berichten (Atom).
