See what's going on with me in Tanzania, Africa. Monday, January 26, 2009. The next couple of days Lindsey and I spent around Iringa. I took her around the usual places that I go to. We also spent a lot of time shopping. It was actually really nice to have a couple of days not doing anything because up to this point we had felt really rushed like we could not take a break and relax. It’s about $3.70 per gallon. It’s 1,300 tsh per liter and there are about 3.79 liters/ gallon. ...It’s really shockin...

See what's going on with me in Tanzania, Africa. Monday, December 29, 2008. On the 13th of December I boarded a Scandinavian bus to make the 8 hour haul to Dar Es Salam to pick up Lindsey on the night of the 14th. I’m not a bus fan in the least! I have heard way too many stories about people dying and getting hurt on buses. Well, I decided to sit in the front behind the driver, then I would have more let room. I got on the bus and headed out. The Scandinavian is one of the nicest buses in Tanzania an...

See what's going on with me in Tanzania, Africa. Wednesday, November 26, 2008. My Day at the Massi Village. One night I want over to Mark and Terry Jensons apartment for dinner. Mark and Terry volunteer at Tumaini. What they do is go out to villages and teach the villages how to be better farmers. Where to plant their crops and what crops will grow best in the area. They also work for the Ag institute at the U of M. Well, so they go it to different villages often. They mostly had chickens, cows, and goats.

Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Petroglyphs in Capitol Reef. So awesome to see. Jason thought some of them looked new, like the wall had been vandalized. Then we went to the visitors center and learned that they are all ancient from the Freemont Native Americans. Luke getting a better view of some of the petrogylphs. Blaise with my Dad, so sweet. Playing the reeds. It takes a special talent. Links to this post. An Evening in Capitol Reef National Park. These pictures are from one of the lookouts. One of the most ...

See what's going on with me in Tanzania, Africa. Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Up on the Mountian. The song that explains my experiences and my love for Tanzania and it's people is best described in Steven Curtis Chapman’s song. I’m wanna build a house up on the mountain. Way up high where the peaceful waters flow to quench my thirsty soul, up on the mountain. I can see for miles upon this mountain. Troubles seem so small they almost disappear; Lord I love it here, up on the mountain. Almost every Friday ...

John Tyler's cake- he added the jeep thing himself after I put in his tractor and cows. Too bad it wasn't washed like the others. JC singing "Happy Birthday" opera style to get John Tyler to copy.
