Jeff and Michelle's Uganda Update

Jeff and Michelle's Uganda Update. Sunday, April 19, 2009. Saying good bye…. A large portion of this week has been saying good-bye to the people we have met here in Uganda. Early this week I said fare well to many of the people at the diocesan offices. These good-byes were not easy since I have not spent much time in offices in the last four weeks. So it was a bit of a surprise to some when I was saying good-bye. The hardest good byes though have really been are friends here at the Mother’s Union C...

Jeff and Michelle's Uganda Update: A cooking success!

http://jeffandmichelleinuganda.blogspot.com/2009/04/cooking-success.html

Jeff and Michelle's Uganda Update. Tuesday, April 14, 2009. I like it, a free slow-cooker. Maybe a large glass jar big enough to leave upside-down over the pot? April 14, 2009 at 7:36 PM. Put your dark pot inside a plastic bag. An oven cooking bag is temperature resisitant. You can use an normal plastic bag if you fashion a small frame to keep the pot from touching the pot. More info on how to do this here:. Http:/ solarcooking.wikia.com. April 18, 2009 at 12:33 AM. April 19, 2009 at 6:55 AM. Volunteers ...

Jeff and Michelle's Uganda Update: Mission to Kishanje

http://jeffandmichelleinuganda.blogspot.com/2009/04/mission-to-kishanje.html

Jeff and Michelle's Uganda Update. Saturday, April 4, 2009. This past weekend we travelled with people from All Saints Church Ishaka and Juna Amagara Ministries ( http:/ www.amagara.org/. For a mission to the Kishanje Parish near the city of Kabale. Getting there and back was half the adventure! After this first service we were split into teams, each being sent to a different area of the village. Michelle and I were sent to a small, but very scenic, hill within the valley where the village is located.

Jeff and Michelle's Uganda Update: Holy Week

http://jeffandmichelleinuganda.blogspot.com/2009/04/holy-week.html

Jeff and Michelle's Uganda Update. Monday, April 13, 2009. On Wednesday I attended a service at the Cathedral where all the priests in the diocese renewed their ordination vows. Unfortunately, it was all in Runyankole so I followed very little of it. From what I could understand it was an important time for the clergy of the diocese to rededicate themselves to the church and their work. I can only hope it was an encouragement to them all. April 14, 2009 at 7:39 PM. April 14, 2009 at 11:43 PM. All Africa ...

Cellodav's Blog to Learn: Getting Started

http://cellodav-blogtolearn.blogspot.com/2008/11/getting-started.html

Cellodav's Blog to Learn. I've finally succumbed to the allure of blogging : putting my personal thoughts, ideas and observations - my ongoing learning, really - on public record. I must say that the final inspiration has been reading Stephen Downes' "Half an Hour" blog ( http:/ halfanhour.blogspot.com/. Naturally, I welcome response, discussion, connection, correction and, above all, opportunities to learn through blogging. If I didn't want any of this, I wouldn't want to blog, would I?

Cellodav's Blog to Learn. 10 Characteristics of Good Research? The question has been posed to me and a good number of classmates: "What makes good research? This question is set in the context of a graduate programme in Educational Technology, but I suspect there are a number of general principles that will apply. Here's an unorganized listing of 10 criteria I think could be necessary. An interesting, open-ended question. Conclusions that beg new questions. New answers to old questions. One last idea here.

Jeff and Michele Eat Cleveland | eating our way through Cleveland, one restaurant at a time

Jeff and Michele Eat Cleveland. Eatin’ Out of Town. Michele loves fish. When we dine at restaurants, she is more likely than not to order a fish dinner. As the Lent season approaches, she eagerly plans Friday dinner when Jeff is away, or otherwise engaged. Why during Jeff’s absence? Slovenian National Home Dessert – A slice with each order! Slovenian National Home Fish – Three big pieces with home fries and slaw. Slovenian National Home – Pierogi dinner with home fries and slaw. Was less successful. ...

Capturing the Moments

Saturday, August 15, 2015. Today is the last day of summer. Unfortunately that last day started way too early for both Michelle and me. She woke up at 2:30 and couldn't fall back asleep. I woke up at 4:30. Too much stuff swirling around our brains. A stop at Uncle Mike's favorite, Tim Hortons, for an after-church snack. I spent the day at work orienting freshmen. On the whole the day went well so at least there's that. Now it's trying to get overtired kids into bed. Friday, August 14, 2015. At that point...

Adventures with the Rencher's

Adventures with the Rencher's. Jeff and I met in November, 2009- we talked one time, and then he disappeared (or so I thought). Three months later, as I'm working on my mission papers, he shows up again out of nowhere, sweeps me off my feet, and eight months later we are married- October 9, 2010 in the Twin Falls, Idaho Temple. Life is better than we ever expected! Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Moving day- October 15th. We had a lot of help from Jeff's family. Which we are so grateful for. Halloween- we went ...
