JeffLivesHere: Health

Thursday, July 20, 2006. I guess what I'm facing is that I'm hitting something of a wall as far as my progress visually goes- and that wall is making me feel more body (self-)conscous, not less. And again, that doesn't feel particularly healthy, emotionally. I've started to change my relationship to my body, and I'm not entirely happy with the new relationship. It may be too much of a change of lifestyle for me to really do it. Or maybe I'll do it slow and steady? Posted by Jeff Pollet at 7:03 AM. I have...

JeffLivesHere: Health: May 2006

http://www.jeffliveshere-health.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html

Friday, May 26, 2006. And that's when I figured out that what was happening was that my contacts were drying my eyes out, which my brain was interpreting as he needs sleep. When I changed brands and started using eyedrops, no more sleepyhead. In fact, I sometimes still use eyedrops to wake up. So, it's kind of like method acting, except unintentional. All of these things are difficult to describe. Pehraps I can get better at describing it as time goes on. What to do about it? Thursday, May 18, 2006.

Tuesday, July 11, 2006. I feel a rash coming on. No, not that type. A rash of posts about exercise and my feelings about my body and such. But that's likely just the endorphins talking. My chest muscles, and my arm muscles. That sounds silly perhaps. Now, I've been working out regularly- but I've been focusing pretty much only on cardio for a few months now. And it's the weights that actually make me feel. Posted by Jeff Pollet at 8:37 AM. View my complete profile. Jeff's Full Blog Lives Here.

Wednesday, March 29, 2006. Just What I Needed, More to Think About. So my first therapy session was pretty much as expected. A few nice suprises that have nothing to do with therapy at all, really: It didn't rain when I went into SF for my appointment last night (I had some worries that if it rained a lot I'd use it as an excuse to not go). Also, it's not so far from 24th street BART, Papalote(sp? Some things that were not much of a suprise, therapy-wise:. There was a clock prominently displayed. It's we...

And the place where my politics and my sexuality meet is a great big traffc jam of identity. Politics and Finding Love. It's sort of self-serving and self-congradulatory. Still, it is sometimes how I feel. (And, actually, I doubt. Politics and Getting Some. First off, there's what I'll call, for want of a more precise phrase, the expressed 'desire fo...

Tuesday, June 27, 2006. I was once told (ok, more than once, but mostly by the same person) that my blog is too negative. I focus on negative stuff. And it can be very true. Cutting me off, or worse, a left hand turn from the opposing direction, almost hitting me, or some such. And I try to think about the times that I'm uncaring and unthinking- the times that I do something bad to others. But why is it that the kind stuff, the nice stuff, which really can be the norm ( most people don't cut me off.
