Thursday, October 25, 2012. At the beginning of this year I decided to aim for completing a half-marathon. I accomplished that goal on October 14 by running the Prairie Fire half in downtown Wichita. It was fun at time, hard at other times, but I finished and felt a great sense of accomplishment. I finished just a minute over my goal, at 2:21:04. Friday, June 29, 2012. I was worried about Eli getting bored this Summer, but he is having a great time! T-ball has been a fun adventure for us all. After a month of playing one game a week and one practice he really understands the game and is enjoying it. Our whole point of putting him in t-ball was really just to be with his peers and have some fun. It has been great! He is into dinosaurs, animals, biking, playgrounds, trains, airplanes, swimming, fountains, trampolines, marbles, and all things BOY!

The Adventures of Being Young. Tuesday, November 9, 2010. A month of Thankfulness. At the end of the month, we will celebrate Thanksgiving. I always think of November as the Thankful month. I am thankful for so many things but most of the "things" we can not see. I am thankful for God's grace, love and forgiveness. I am thankful I can wake up each knowing as a child of God I am saved. Friday, January 27, 2012. Eli took part in a bike/trike-a-thon at preschool benefiting St. Jude Hospital. Brandon was able to take his lunch break and surprise Eli at the event since I was stuck home with a grouchy girl with a cold. Eli had so much fun and rode his bike prouder than ever! He has gotten a lot better at riding his bike lately. It is perfect timing because the double stroller is getting pretty darn heavy for me with both kids in it and I need to free up some space for Asher pretty soon!
