Never Cook Bacon While Naked: Lucius Martialis

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Friday, October 31, 2014. All in all, Lucius did not have a lot of joy in his life. He is good at his job that he never wanted to do. He ...Of co...

Alison's Knitting Journal: March 2009
http://alisonsknittingjournal.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2009. I have not done any knitting for days. I'm a slacker. :(. Thursday, March 26, 2009. Something else cutting into my knitting time? Reading. I've been rereading the Harry Potter series, I read Julie and Julia, and I'm trying to finish The Rules (Time-Tested Secrets for Capturing the Heart of Mr. Right). By "trying to finish", I of course mean that I've glanced at it next to the bed a few times before picking up Harry Potter. Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Alison's Knitting Journal: Knitting Update
http://alisonsknittingjournal.blogspot.com/2009/08/knitting-update.html
Wednesday, August 26, 2009. I finally finished my blue Koigu striped sock! Just the first one, but you know, still an accomplishment. I lovelovelove the colors in this sock. Very vibrant. I also finished the bridesmaid shrug. I'll get some pictures of me modeling it later. For now, a sneak peek. So, I'm taking a break from that. And also, Vera is a whore. August 26, 2009 at 12:38 PM. http://alisonsknittingjournal.blogspot.com/2010/10/very-long-rhinebeck-post.html
Monday, October 18, 2010. A Very Long Rhinebeck Post. I planned to do a blog post with all or at least most of the pictures I took, but it's going to take way too long, so I'll just recap, then post a link to the pictures. We chose the wrong time to leave (right around the time the festival ended at 5). We sat in the parking lot for an hour and a half before getting out onto the road. It was kind of ridiculous. Certainly they could do something about that? We'll leave out the rest of that evening. And th...
