Jengerbread Creations

Thursday, January 22, 2015. I made this lovely family tree as a Christmas gift this year. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I sketched out the names on a piece of paper (over and over again, to make it look just right), then traced the tree onto some muslin with a washable fabric pen. Then, it was just a bunch of chain-stitches (and a handful of french knots to dot the i's). I stitched the names of children in dark green and grandchildren in light green. Jenny, aka Jengerbread. Jengerbread Creations: April 2014

http://jengerbreadcreations.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

Friday, April 18, 2014. Hot Cross Bun Printable Tag. My English great-grandmother made hot cross buns every Good Friday, as many do. Because of this heritage of mine, I too began making hot cross buns each Good Friday. It not only marks the occasion of Good Friday, it forges a bond between myself and my great-grandmother and our English heritage. And, being a family history nerd, I like that connection. :). What a great tradition! Give the gift of Smithsonian magazine for only $12! Links to this post.

Jengerbread Creations: 100th Day Shirt!

http://jengerbreadcreations.blogspot.com/2014/03/100th-day-shirt.html

Thursday, March 6, 2014. Does your school celebrate the 100th Day of School? My kids' elementary school does, in the lower grades at least. Each kindergartner was supposed to wear a shirt with 100 things on it on 100th Day. This is what he and I came up with. He LOVES it and wears it whenever he can. I think it's pretty darn cute, too. It makes me smile when I see it (and how happy he is to wear it)! Jenny, aka "Jengerbread". Labels: 100th Day Project. And such a creative way to fit the theme. Div align=...

Jengerbread Creations: October 2013

http://jengerbreadcreations.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Thursday, October 10, 2013. Every October and April, my church. Has a church-wide general conference. My family and I spent last weekend hanging out on the couch, eating snacks, and watching conference on TV. I love this chance we get twice a year to spend this family time together, being inspired and taught. And, I love turning some of my favorite quotes from it into pretty printables after conference is over. :). Jenny, aka "Jengerbread". Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Jengerbread Creations: Scalloped Edge Baby Quilt Tutorial

http://jengerbreadcreations.blogspot.com/2011/04/scalloped-edge-baby-quilt-tutorial.html

Thursday, April 28, 2011. Scalloped Edge Baby Quilt Tutorial. A new niece is a lovely excuse for making pretty baby things. I've been dying for an opportunity to use some pretty girly, floral fabric. I thought this scalloped-edge baby quilt would be the perfect chance for it. After prewashing and ironing your fabrics, lay out the fabric right-sides together (I used 1 yard of each fabric for this project). Put the right-sides-together fabric on top of your quilt batting. Smooth out any wrinkles or creases.

Adventures...: The difference of Fall from Summer

http://karinrm.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-difference-of-fall-from-summer.html

Of a certain Chocolate Lover. Tuesday, October 9, 2012. The difference of Fall from Summer. So this summer was FULL of adventures! I went out of the country, I went to the beach a handful of times (more than I think I've been in my whole life combined), I went to New York a few times, I went to New Jersey for a weekend, I went home a few times, and I even went back to Utah to see a wedding. Let me explain why. It's kind of exciting in its on way! I am going back to school! Well, I'm going to. So for the ...

http://karinrm.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Of a certain Chocolate Lover. Monday, July 23, 2012. My month of July of this year has reminded me of Heather's "Adventure" days. But instead of it being a day every week, it's been every weekend and 2 of the 4 weeks. I think I'm going to have to try that recipe again. Mmmmm, it was good! Ryan and me by the Washington Monument. Sometimes I do love being in DC. :). This past weekend was awesome! I'm kinda tired now, but it was so worth it. :). This is what 3am looks like. The group altogether in Palmyra!

http://karinrm.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Of a certain Chocolate Lover. Monday, August 6, 2012. Out of the Country. The subject of travel always seems to come up in conversations. Inevitably, the question of "Have you been out of the country? Always comes up. I never quite knew how to answer that question before this past week. I had been to Canada for about 15-20 minutes before the border was closed and we didn't even stop the car to get out. So technically yes, I had been out of the country. But it was so lame, that I never quite counted it.

Adventures...: Almost Dying

http://karinrm.blogspot.com/2012/06/almost-dying.html

Of a certain Chocolate Lover. Wednesday, June 27, 2012. I wish that the title of this post was not serious. First things first. I'm. Fine No injuries or scrapes or anything like that. Not even any resounding psychological trauma. But there was a serious chance that I could've died or been seriously injured about a week and a half ago. This is a short story. Luckily, I was not driving. I have no clue what I would've done. Bekah had her head in tact a little more than I did and slowed. It Just Gets Stranger.

Adventures...: October 2012

http://karinrm.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Of a certain Chocolate Lover. Thursday, October 18, 2012. Seeing as how I don't have time to go on many adventures right at the moment, I think I'll post some about the adventures that I've had over the past year or so. Here's one that I titled in probably May and never got around to actually writing anything. Oh well. I had never thought of going into Marketing, but it was something I was willing to try. Our company headquarters are out in Bellevue, WA. So they sent me off for a week! Work was great too...

Of a certain Chocolate Lover. Friday, September 28, 2012. Ok, so I'm finally going to recount my trip, two months later. Exciting, right? Seeing as how I had never been out of the country before, I really had no clue what I was doing. I've never taken a trip like this before in my life either. I've done some crazy things with friends, and gone on some trips, but I don't feel that I've ever quite done a vacation like this with. So needless to say, I was excited! The first half of the trip, we went inland&...

Of a certain Chocolate Lover. Friday, November 30, 2012. I realize that I am not the best blogger out there. I'm actually probably very close to being one of the worst bloggers ever. But I actually have a viable reason for this last delay! I have this post all ready to be published about this fun trip my roommate and I took. All I needed to insert were the pictures. And then something awful happened. So computer shopping I went. Can I say how much I hate shopping for technological things? I got an iPhone!

One way road trip from snow to sunny skies. Asymp; Leave a comment. Well the weather is wonderful and it is taking a bit of an adjustment regarding holiday activities. My winter wear is still in boxes and I will admit… a bathing suit has had a bit of use since my move! Instead of bundling up this time of year to snowboard, or snowmobile, I can take out my canoe and go to one of the several Florida parks. In the area or hike the nature paths. 365 days post baby to professional athlete. On May 3, 2013 by jengersbach. I’ve been doing intervals now for the past few months and have noticed a trend. I start out with music, you know a good beat to get the blood flowing. Maybe some Pitbull, a little David Guetta mash-up…some hip hop power workout pandora radio…you know what I’m talking about! Try these couple of songs when you finish your intervals, your uphill beat downs, and let the real reason we go hard begin…. On February 28, 2013 by jengersbach.
