I lived in Alamosa from January-May this spring to attend nursing school. It was a good place to focus/train/study but the downfall was that I was the star in my own version of the movie groundhog day…I hate that movie! Hmmm I will talk about that later…. OK In case some of you were wondering were I went…abruptly leaving the blog world is not cool, I know. So yep, I married Miles in Oct. here in Durango. I was on a run the other day and it hurt! I am a really slow runner-outside. Yet, when I’m inside on the gym treadmill I feel like a champion gazelle. Thursday, January 22, 2015. I made this lovely family tree as a Christmas gift this year. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I sketched out the names on a piece of paper (over and over again, to make it look just right), then traced the tree onto some muslin with a washable fabric pen. Then, it was just a bunch of chain-stitches (and a handful of french knots to dot the i's). I stitched the names of children in dark green and grandchildren in light green. Jenny, aka Jengerbread. I start out with music, you know a good beat to get the blood flowing. Maybe some Pitbull, a little David Guetta mash-up…some hip hop power workout pandora radio…you know what I’m talking about!
