Sunday, June 12, 2011. A Splashin', Swingin' Saturday. Yesterday, I might have created the very best Saturday memory with my kids to date. Here's what we did:. 1) Went to the Splash Park on base.absolutely perfect fun! 2) Had a picnic. 3) Played on the super-duper, gigantic playground until we were out of sweat. 4) Came home and took long naps. 5) Ate Italian Shells Hamburger Helper (my fave), baby lima beans, corn and mandarin oranges for supper. 6) Played with the bubble blowers in the backyard.

If I had a dime for every time someone was confused by my use of the word "buggy" in relation to a grocery cart, I might have an extra thousand dollars lying around. Saturday, January 22, 2011. There was an evening family game of hide-and-seek that included lots of squealing and giggling. It was so much fun that Danny has declared it a daily tradition. Once the kiddos were sufficiently worn out (evidenced by Ty's declaration that he was "so tired"), we had a big time in the bathtub. These two must be at the best ages yet. Saturday, November 27, 2010. Thanksgiving 2010 might go down as the best Thanksgiving ever. I mean, how often do you get to go to the beach on Thanksgiving day? We started the day in a leisurely way considering there were five adults and two children in my house. Once everyone was up and running, we hit the road. Livin’ Mi Vida Loca. Halloween, Here We Come! October 15, 2010. I love furlough days. I miss the pay like crazy, but I totally dig the extra time I get with my kiddos. We celebrated the “holiday” this week with a trip to the Game Ranch and lunch at Johnny’s. It was truly one of the best outings we’ve had in a looooong time. Friday, May 16, 2014. Our kids were AWESOME, and enjoyed the play area by our gate. They even napped under benches. Our new red eye wasn't direct, but had a connection through Philadelphia. On the flight from Philadelphia to Raleigh, we were able to sit in the back of the plane and have a bit more room to wiggle around (and actually sit NEXT TO one another, which was an issue on the earlier rescheduled flight).
