And for sure, it's never about what is under the tree, unless it's something I am giving to someone I love. I love PREPARING for Christmas. The magic is in the unfolding of ornaments, lights, music, smells, and all about a reason to give and to celebrate Him. The Christmas before I delivered Makenna, I wondered if I would feel differently after having had a baby. I don't.

I am still waiting on pictures from Baby Girl's birthday party, but I wanted to post a few things that this little miracle baby has taught her mommy this past year. So, I have seen my world anew through the eyes of a child, and it takes my breath away. Makenna has reminded me. Chores are part of this life. They teach us responsibility, how to love work, and help us to build our character, but sometimes you just gotta sit IN the laundry and take a break.

Her little gums are working so hard on getting tooth number 5 and 6 (at least) through. In the beginning of January, I went to ID/UT with the kids to go to my Grandma Vonda Harper's birthday party with my extended Harper family. It was SO great to see so many cousins and aunts/uncles, I haven't seen for years, and meet in-laws and babies for the first time. I wasn't expecting it to be very cold (what was I thinking? So I didn't pack winter clothes for the kids, but that didn't stop them from playing outside in the snow.
