The house is silent. My thoughts are loud. God is just as willing and just as able to sanctify, as He is to redeem" (Stepping Heavenward by E. Prentiss). The more I grow in holiness, the more I see and grieve my own sin. the greater my sin, the greater Christ becomes. It's okay to say "I'm sorry.".

Stirring up the Nest. Friday, January 31, 2014. Oh, to have the faith of my dog. He never jumps on my children. He waits politely for his food and for us to enter and exit first out of the house or garage. He started barking furiously one day (which he RARELY does. another great thing about him) and I went running down to the garage to find that Thomas had opened the garage door and was walking out into our front yard! I coaxed him. "come on, boy. it's ok. come on.". He moved an inch. And then it hit me.

Friday, January 11, 2013. Well, the new year got off to a slow start here. The girls got sick just before Christmas and 18 days later, I feel like we are finally creeping out of it. Clara was the sickest of all - with a course of steroids and 2 rounds of antibiotic for her. She spent almost a week on the couch looking like this. Poor thing had a rough time of it, but she learned a few new tricks with all of her downtime - there's a new "shoe-tying sheriff" in town! Looking forward to all 2013 will bring!

Thursday, July 26, 2012. Last week was ballet camp for the big girls. Clara and Ainsley were so excited about Summer ballet, and the week did not disappoint. Fairies, princesses, crafts, music, dancing, tutus, and sweet friends - could it be more fun? Ainsley was especially excited as this was her first ballet experience, after watching Clara for the past 2 years. She had a ball, and is really looking forward to starting classes in the fall. Ainsley making sure the feet are correct. It's the Little Things.

This race is held annually and raises funds for 4 local families who are in the process of adopting children - some domestically and some internationally.
