Thursday, 24 October 2013. The Yorkshire Marathon - the first of many? So after all the panic of a horrific taper ( which I wrote about for the Guardian, go me. A stomach virus which lasted for more than a week and the obviously deep-seated psychological issues (or too much cheese) it was a relief to make it to the start line at York University in one piece. Thursday, 26 December 2013. The Advent running streak - another crazy ambition ticked off. Sunrise over the canal on Christmas morning. Some crazy people 'streak' for years. Monday, 13 October 2014. Happy birthday, Lucy! You’re also one of the most loving people I know. You love cuddles, and kisses, and showing people how much you love them. Just the other day you squeezed my arm really hard and said “I love you SO MUCH”. I love you so much. You tell stories, constantly, about everything. Even spoons and forks have personalities and back-stories in your hands. Your imagination and your ability to entertain yourself never ceases to amaze me. Happy birthday, Lucy.
