The Johnson Family: January 2009
http://bljohnsonfamily.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Living in the corn fields of IOWA. Monday, January 26, 2009. Really what else is there to do in the dead of winter? At least the sun was nice and bright. Jake even got in on the fun. We have been to several playdates lately. I can only stay at home for a minimal amount of time before craving social interaction. Unforunately (for me), Ryan is becoming a homebody like his father. I have to sweet talk him into the Tahoe but once we get out he enjoys himself. Driving the train at Recess in Ankeny. We celebra...

http://bljohnsonfamily.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Living in the corn fields of IOWA. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Has it really been a month since I have updated? Where does the time go? I guess we are just busy enjoying what life has to offer. Welcome to the family. My cousin and her husband had a baby boy on Feb 5. Jack Taylor weighed in at a whooping 9lbs 10oz (almost as big as Ryan was) and 23 inches long. I am very happy for them. Jack is a super cute baby. Congrats Mitch and Wendy! Fun City, Burlington - Feb 20-22. What a fun weekend! Ryan's pres...

The Johnson Family: Christmas 2010
http://bljohnsonfamily.blogspot.com/2010/12/christmas-2010.html
Living in the corn fields of IOWA. Sunday, December 19, 2010. It's the most wonderful time of the year. The lights, the smells, the kids excitement, the joy of giving, the importance of teaching the true meaning of Christmas and enjoying quality time with family. I love it all! The only part I don't like is the cold that comes with this time of year. Now that I mention it, my teeth are chattering as I write this letter. BBBBrrrrrr. Enjoy our 2010 photo recap! Of course, my social butterfly loved it.

The Johnson Family: January 2010
http://bljohnsonfamily.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Living in the corn fields of IOWA. Tuesday, January 5, 2010. Veronika was amazed by this thing called Christmas. It was truly a blessing to see her joy. She has never experienced anything like it. Unlike every other time in our lives.I don't go camera crazy at Christmas. I would much rather experience the joy of the holiday with my own eyes instead of through the lens of my camera. Here are the few photo that I did take. Veronika lost in the aftermath. Lots of Bubbles - what girl wouldn't enjoy this?

The Johnson Family: April 2010
http://bljohnsonfamily.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Living in the corn fields of IOWA. Friday, April 30, 2010. The rest of April. With Spring comes a whole bunch of fun stuff! They even performed in front of an audience (Great Aunt Elcina and Bob). So it is time to start mowing the yard. I walk outside to see RYAN MOWING the yard. Why is it the dad's allow kids to do stuff that mom's wouldn't even dream of? I wanted to pull him off right away but decided not to make Ben mad and give it a chance. Ryan did amazingly well with some instruction from dad.

Living in the corn fields of IOWA. Sunday, December 20, 2009. It is a little small here. If you would like a better version of the video, I can email it to you. Our next source of pride and joy, Ryan. Sometimes I look at him and I can't believe he is 5. Where does the time go? It's a little sad for mom. Ryan started Kindergarten. Veronika took this picture. I like it. You better look closely because as soon as Ben knows it is on the blog he will demand it be removed. Spring Break Trip to Colorado. Get Yo...

The Johnson Family: May 2010
http://bljohnsonfamily.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Living in the corn fields of IOWA. Friday, May 28, 2010. Sounded so fun that I decided to volunteer. I was the logistic coodinator. I made all the signs and maps for the carnival. It was a BIG job. I stayed up until 1am-2am every night for about 3 nights leading up to the carnival. I love being creative but that was that was lots of work. It is was worth it though. The carnival was a success! The kids had so much fun and we were able to make some money for the PTO who helps the school in many ways. Ben g...

The Johnson Family: August 2009
http://bljohnsonfamily.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Living in the corn fields of IOWA. Friday, August 21, 2009. First Day of School. My baby started Kindergarten this week. How in the world can he be old enough for K? Wednesday - we went to the school and visited his classroom, meet his teacher and took Ry on a little tour. That visit really helped Ry with his nerves. He made it to school! Jake wanted to go to school with Ryan. My baby is leaving and he didn't even wave goodbye to me. So day #2 was a success also. It was a big week at our house. Looki...
