Author Archives: DJ Hofmann. Back to South Sudan (March 14-25). February 16, 2012. I will be leading a team of 10 people back to South Sudan next month for the purpose of evangelism and discipleship training. This trip will be very similar to the previous trip I took back in September, where we will be working alongside EPC and their members with the work. Our goal and heart is not to do the work alone, but come alongside the church and under their leadership to do this together. Favor from the Lord.

Jammer's Blog: Valentine’s Day for Mothers
http://juniorjamreonvit.blogspot.com/2015/02/valentines-day-for-mothers.html
Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Valentine’s Day for Mothers. I didn’t do an Anniversary blog. This year because Katie’s grandpa passed away (Grandpa Howie is home with Jesus! As a man, you can easily take your wife for granted. When I wake up in the morning, my wife has a warm breakfast waiting for me. This past week, she’s had a high fever and you know what? Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. - Proverbs 31:30. In short, show your wife how much you appreci...

About Kathryn, etc. Monday, May 11, 2015. Being a mother is hard. These past two weeks have been difficult for many reasons. Hudson is a fiesty, determined two-year-old who has a very strong will. He has been testing that will on Chance and I more than ever lately. The other day in the van he pushed me away and said, "No, Mommy! In John 13, Jesus demonstrates selfless service toward the disciples. Before the Passover meal Jesus takes off his robe and begins to wash their feet. Feet, but can you imagine.

Smooth Stones: 2014.03
http://eisenmanns.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
David chose 5 smooth stones, as he walked towards fulfilling God's purpose. Join the Eisenmanns, as we gather smooth stones of our own, to use as we walk through God's calling for our little family. But it doesn't usually feel like trash. This one did. This one, a fax handed to me at 8:15 in the morning, felt like I had been handed trash in black and white. Loves legos, has PTSD. Loves going to church, hasn't been to the dentist in a long time. Loves country music, lies to care-givers. Who could do that?

Cards on the Table. I'm abandoning my 52X30. It feels so good to say that. This is one of a few decisions I made this weekend, a weekend that I will dub from henceforth, "The Low Point.". Me and my hot mess are also:. Currently taking applications for a (very) part-time domestic engineer. 4/21/14, 11:52 AM.

Sunday, November 8, 2009. Originally posted on Feb 9, 09. I know that this is about a month over due but I was busy getting married. I wanted to give out a special thanks to the people closest to me who shared with me the biggest day of my life. Thank you Aaron for always being playful and fun but never compromising godly values in the process, for being a friend that would admonish and rebuke when necessary, and to be willing to do anything to support me in my time of need throughout the years. My goal ...

Life in La La's Land: A New Year, A New Room!
http://lifeinlalasland.blogspot.com/2014/01/a-new-year-new-room.html
Saturday, January 4, 2014. A New Year, A New Room! But for all the space we do have, we weren't using it properly. I'm a firm believer in functionality and purpose - it's not the size of the space, but how you use it that makes the difference. Having said that, I am probably IKEA's dream consumer. Here is a rough sketch of our downstairs that I made through the free online program, Floorplanner. So things got shifted around. We sold off one of the tables and chairs, moved the dining set from the stud...

Life in La La's Land: Greatest Hits
http://lifeinlalasland.blogspot.com/p/greatest-hits.html
I've been blogging since 2007 so if you're new here, you've got a lot to catch up on. I'll give you the Cliff Notes version to get you up to speed. I started it all off here. By swearing off all men for six months. I blame this guy. For a lot of the frustration and agony I had while single and dating. I used to drink and party A LOT and struggled balancing the working-partying lifestyle. I traveled to Europe with a friend of mine from high school and we had the ultimate Eurotrip. I dated some REAL winners.

About Kathryn, etc. Thursday, December 19, 2013. Race Recap - Texas Whine Not Another Marathon. As the days dwindled down to race time, I began to get really nervous. After all, I had completed some pretty unconventional. The night before the race, Chance and I were in the kitchen talking. I asked him, "So, how do you think I'm going to do tomorrow? I didn't sleep well the night before (big surprise! Raised their hands. This was it, no backing out now! The sun started to come up just after 7:00, and it t...
