Memoirs of a Sensei. Monday, July 19, 2010. So, I bought a new bag (yup.I guess it's a man bag.satchel.gay "anyone who has that is gay bag", whatever you want to call it, but I like it and it's handy so get off it! And I put all my stuff in and headed to Miyajima, "One of the three most scenic spots in all of Japan (really)". It was gorgeous. Not only was the boat ride over there, which lasted all of about 10 minutes, awesome, but walking around the place was awesome too! Why did this even happen?

Saturday, May 28, 2011. Thursday, May 26, 2011. The following day we took the N-700 bullet train to Kyoto. The ride was interesting because I was able to see much of the countryside which I had not yet seen being in Tokyo (although at 200 km/hr). It was neat to see the mixture of traditional and modern practices merging into such a distinct culture and it was reflected to me in that ride by the architecture and tools being used to agriculture and fishing.
