The ride was interesting because I was able to see much of the countryside which I had not yet seen being in Tokyo (although at 200 km/hr). It was neat to see the mixture of traditional and modern practices merging into such a distinct culture and it was reflected to me in that ride by the architecture and tools being used to agriculture and fishing. Sunday, May 15, 2011. The adventure began bright and early. In an attempt to get ready for the jet lag and get on an appropriate sleep schedule me and the cohort have refrained from sleeping last night. The ride should be restful and hopefully quick despite the impending 13 hours ahead. Looking forward to experiencing the culture that I've only read about and heard about in such high regards. Monday, September 14, 2009. Panning at the Fly-In. 2009 09 12 1842. Originally uploaded by dostech. I have only one piece of advice to anyone brave enough to try panning shots. take LOTS of them. I was shooting with my 70-200 at planes flying well over 100mph and it is a lot tougher than it looks. I probably got one keeper for every 10 that I shot.
