Tidbits from out of town. Tuesday, March 21, 2006. March 21 was a snow day for omaha public schools. actually it was the second of two consecutive snow days, but this one was nicer because most of the day was a thaw from the previous day and night, and so it was nice enough for me to don my snowboots and go on a long walk with my dog. I didn't see him again by the time i got back to my car. the snow was melting and almost gone by that time and i like to think that perhaps he got stuck and had to walk.

Tidbits from out of town. Saturday, April 15, 2006. Today's walk was actually a walk/ride. tim's feet were hurting so we were going to ride our bikes, but i have a different sort of valve stem on my tires and my special bianchi pump wasn't working so i had to walk while he rode, though we did switch every mile or two. i loved this walk because 1) tim was with me and 2) our dog is so funny. It was a happy walk. Posted by Amy at 7:00 PM. Monday, April 10, 2006. Tip of the day. I have scars to show for it.

Picking Up An Old Hobby. With some quiet time to spare this evening, I spilled over an old collection of books on a topic that I once committed all of my interest (and plenty of time) to. Here is a stirring passage I read:. I believe this happens when thinking about the past is more of a focus than living in the present. When remembrance of the old prohibits enjoyment of the new, the past is exerting too powerful an influence. Written by Lois Mowday in Daughters Without Dads. HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
