robert in the land of the midnight sun: December 2007
http://alaskarob.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Robert in the land of the midnight sun. Monday, December 31, 2007. 2007 wrap-up. 2008 is on its way! Despite the beauty and heritage of the place, I was in for a culture shock. After the newness of Sitka and Alaska faded, I realised that I needed to adapt to a different way of life. In fact, I kind of felt that I had been hit with the double-whammy: I had a good dose of Alaskan culture-shock, topped off with an even bigger dose of American culture-shock! What was I to do next? Where to go from here?

robert in the land of the midnight sun: October 2007
http://alaskarob.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Robert in the land of the midnight sun. Tuesday, October 2, 2007. Weather: partly crappy, mostly shitty. Woah, the salmon have all swum upstream to spawn, and the place is ripe! Basically, it stinks! Drama scale this week: about 4/10. Hey, it's only Tuesday - give the place a chance, things will definitely heat up by the end of the week. Now, Here Is What You Are Supposed To Do.And Please Do Not Spoil The Fun! 1 WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? Both my grandfathers were named Robert. Yes, love it. No, and I ...

Melville Dewey is my homeboy. Subversive behaviour: file under 327.14. Tuesday, August 28, 2007. Genevieve is off colour again with a bad cold which is borderline flu. She slept twelve hours last night and asked to go back to bed just after breakfast. Dunno where she gets that from, then. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Melville Dewey is my homeboy: Underthings
http://melvilledewey.blogspot.com/2007/08/underthings.html
Melville Dewey is my homeboy. Subversive behaviour: file under 327.14. Tuesday, August 28, 2007. Since Genevieve decided that weaning was the cool thing to do, things have (understandably) shrunk and none of my bras fit. All of my teeny-tiny pre-baby numbers are stashed away in the garage in Brisbane, so a trip to Target was in order. And you know what? Damn you, size 10B women of Melbourne! Melville Dewey is my homeboy. Subversive behaviour: file under 327.14. Monday, March 24, 2008. I've never mentioned my newest sister-in-law before now, but I just had to share this with you. While we were living in Melbourne, my eldest brother Jason had a housewarming party and a friend of a friend (Jess) gate-crashed. Their eyes met across a crowded room, and six weeks later they were engaged. It wasn't your typical whirlwind romance, though. Good luck," I replied. "Take care of yourself and have fu...

Yep, after two months of fighting with the customer service morons at our isp, the line fault which cut us off from the online world has finally been fixed. Halle-bloody-lujah! Writer's block still has a stranglehold and my motivation is pretty nonexistent right now, so that's all for the moment. Stay tuned, kids! Are you back with Optusnet?
