Sunday, 12 June 2011. Queuing, Indian Style. On my whirlwind autorickshaw tour of Varanasi we ventured across the river to an old fort on the otherside. I cant remember the name of it, nor the museum inside, but I wont forget the amazing Indian queuing experience. The museum opened at ten and within a few minutes the area around the ticket booth had become a mass of people - shoving, hustling and finally, just plain sitting. Monday, 16 August 2010. We made our way through the English countryside to the Ruskin Mill College. A fish farm (to the left) and productive veg gardens (to the right) line a pathway through the valley with indigenous gardens woven in between. Friday, August 7, 2009. Jane’s brother, Janko, showed us around the town and introduced us to Slovakian Pivo. In the evening we were treated to some traditional accordion music played by Jane’s father. We couldn’t have asked for a better Slovakian experience and really wish that we were able to spend more time with them.
