Life in Tandem: December 2012
http://abbyandkevin.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Better than a bikeride. Friday, December 21, 2012. Why I love Elf. I love smiling, smiling's my favorite. I thought maybe we could make ginger bread houses, and eat cookie dough, and go ice skating, and maybe even hold hands. First we'll make snow angels for two hours, then we'll go ice skating, then we'll eat a whole roll of Tollhouse Cookiedough as fast as we can, and then we'll snuggle. The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear. That's fun to say! This is me after finals:.

The Rich Family: October 2014
http://barbchas.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2014. I got to spend two weeks with Jesse and Sarita and Stella beginning just a few days after she was born. I got to hold and snuggle her and watch her parents do the same. I got to see her go from this size to a pound and a half bigger in just two weeks. She's a sweet and beautiful baby, and her mom and dad are very sweet with her. Swaddling seems to comfort her and help her sleep better. He's a proud dad! This is how her hair looks right after being washed. I wanted to look at ...

Life in Tandem: November 2012
http://abbyandkevin.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Better than a bikeride. Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Caught singin' in the grocery store. Yesterday I was in the grocery store when I was delighted to hear Hilary Duff's classic Come Clean. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? My folklore teacher (who also served a mission in Belgium and the Netherlands, only back in the 80s) told us a story about his Dutch friend who moved to America. It went something like this:. And of course he looked at me. Because he knew I'd understand about the Dutch and how it's not t...

Life in Tandem: April 2014

Better than a bikeride. Saturday, April 26, 2014. And learning to be married. No, I'm not pregnant, so don't even think that. But this is pretty cool too. I have officially accepted an offer to attend BYU's Master of Public Administration. Program, starting THIS fall. That's kind of a big deal. Or is it actually possible to be married AND somehow achieve our goals together? I told myself. There is more to life than grad school and other things to learn. Several weeks before Kevin and I were married, we m...

Life in Tandem: #BecauseofHim
http://abbyandkevin.blogspot.com/2014/04/becauseofhim.html
Better than a bikeride. Sunday, April 20, 2014. The most important week in history was this week, less than 2,000 years ago. Several years ago, at the end of summer 2010, I had the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ during his last week on earth. Talk about a powerful experience! My friends re-enacted the Last Supper. The Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus suffered. I love this picture because of the prominence of the tree. Did you know olive trees can live to be 2,000 years old? Testifi...

Life in Tandem: February 2013
http://abbyandkevin.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Better than a bikeride. Wednesday, February 13, 2013. I almost NEVER have to buy things in bulk; thus my limited familiarity with the ways of Costco. Today, however, I needed croissants, turkey, and cheese. And I threw some frozen fruit in there too since that's something I do. Want in bulk. Jenny came along to help me out with her Costco card. It's here just for me! I thought. Jenny warned me that I may not be able to buy it that way but I thought that was ridiculous. Have to keep .". Just the first one...

Life in Tandem: January 2013
http://abbyandkevin.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Better than a bikeride. Monday, January 28, 2013. They kept telling me. So I kept guessing young celebrities until one of the guys told me, "He's older, but he's definitely a heartthrob. Older women and younger women love him. How does he do that? It's like President Uchtdorf! I still didn't get it until finally they told me that his name rhymed with "looney," but I liked the comparison between George Clooney and President Uchtdorf. Who are some other middle-aged heartthrobs? Tuesday, January 22, 2013.

Life in Tandem: Mountain Biking and Doing Hard Things
http://abbyandkevin.blogspot.com/2014/05/mountain-biking-and-doing-hard-things.html
Better than a bikeride. Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Mountain Biking and Doing Hard Things. So speaking of bikes, Kevin and I went on another adventure yesterday - mountain biking! Mountain biking is like, well, riding a bike for Kevin, but it was a whole new world for me. When we spontaneously decided to go mountain biking I thought, No big deal! It's just like it sounds, right? Just riding a bike, but in the mountains? Have you tried it? Not yet," was my reply. When it was all over, I felt accomplished. ...
