J H Coxon Photography. Dreaming My Way To Retirement. In '06 or '07 I decided I could retire a bit early if I husbanded my resources and lived frugally and one could certainly live frugally in an RV. A Journey Into Photography. It took a while to bring a plan to fruition and finally in November of '07 I set off to see the country in an old RV. And I soon bought a camera to document my travels. Tales of a traveling painter. The long awaited trip to the northwest was finally made. Several goals were motivation for the trek. To visit Oregon where some ancestors had pioneered, the addition of solar power to Tardis, and seeing Glacier National Park were among them. Along the way were many other noteworthy places. Tales of a traveling painter. Family Tour through Appalachia. My route took me northward through the Appalachian Mountains; and then looping around and back south. My intent was to stop and see family along the route. I was able to see many family and friends while enjoying the trip. I had my first truly boondocking camps, the first road breakdown when I had to have the fuel pump replaced, and the first meet-ups with fellow RVers while traveling. Summer 2013 / July. Tales of a traveling painter. Heading to the Southwest. At the completion of the summer Family Tour, I began heading west. Down the Natchez Trace Parkway, across Louisiana and into Texas for a workshop on RVing. Then a waltz across Texas took me to the Amistad National Recreation Area, the Pecos River, Jersey Lilly Saloon, and the fabulous Big Bend National Park.
