Sunday, July 8, 2012. Happy Father's Day to Jay! We celebrated with a big breakfast in the morning and chinese food for dinner. A trip to the park with the Wiebe's. Can get her toes into her mouth. Started eating rice cereal. We only give it to her once a day mixed with water and sometimes a little juice. She's doing pretty well so far! Some nights she is more eager than others but she doesn't just spit it out. And sometimes she re-eats the same spoonful about 8 times before it all gets in her mouth.

Saturday, June 2, 2012. When Ruby was born I immediately thought she looked a lot like Jay. She has several of his facial features, particularly his nose. This week I found some of Jay's baby pictures and felt like I was looking at pictures of Ruby. I even found a couple of poses just like pictures I already have of Ruby. Friday, June 1, 2012. Still wearing 3 month clothes, some 6 month. I love baby girl summer clothes! Naps are getting longer! Not always, but there have been multiple times where she stayed down for an hour or more. After weeks of exactly 30 minute naps, this is really exciting. Ruby has started to grab everything. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Stats - 12 pounds 8 ounces, 24 inches. Ruby has discovered that she has a voice. She squeaks and squeals all day long. I'm sure there will come a day when it starts to annoy me but right now it is so dang cute! Friday, June 15, 2012. Excuse me for a moment while I choke down the fact that my baby is 20 weeks old. Ruby drools everywhere. All the time. Teeth must be coming soon. A trip to the beach this week with Grandma Donna, Aunt Susanne, Grandma Sharon, Aunt Kristen and cousins Anna and Caroline. My Small Town Life. Monday, January 24, 2011. Chop up all your veggies and have them ready and organized. Heat a little olive oil in a pan. Toss in the onion and bell pepper and saute till softened. Add the zucchini and saute a couple of minutes. Season with some salt and pepper. In the meantime, heat your enchilada sauce and evaporated milk (about 3/4 of a can) till bubbly. Let simmer for 10 minutes or so until slightly thickened. 1 bag baby spinach. Olive Oil (1-2 Tblsp). 1 small can evaporated milk.

My Small Town Life. Thursday, June 23, 2011. Our second grandchild arrived on Monday, June 20 at 10:56 pm, and boy was he worth waiting for! Charlie Aaron weighed in at 11 lbs 6 oz and was 23 1/2 inches long. He is beautiful! When John came out and told us the news we were all ASTONISHED at how big he was. Katie is amazing! After about an hour we were able to go in and meet Charlie. Katie looked fresh as a daisy, you would never have known she had just given birth to an 11 pound baby. Bob gets his turn.
