Jinyoung Lee Solo Exhibition. 사이의 풍경 Scenery in between. Bukchon Traditional Museum : 2017.12.8-12.23. 이 세상에 완전히 새로운 것은 없다. 우연히 혹은 필연적으로 발견 해 나갈 뿐이다. 원래 그 자리에 있는 것들 하지만 미처 발견하지못하고 지나치는 것들. 그 것들과의 만남으로부터 내 작업은 시작된다. 그런 사소한 것들이 불명확함과 불완전함을 가진 습판사진술 (Wet Collodion Process)의 한 방법인 암브로타입(Ambrotype). 과 만나면서 또 다른 세계의 속살을 드러내게 된다. 이번 북촌박물관에서의 전시는 지나간 시간들의 기억저장소인 박물관이라는. 공간을 만나면서 지나간시간의 흔적인 문화재와 본인의 작업이 같이 어우러지며 현재와 과거 간의 역사적, 문화적 맥락과. 그 `사이의 풍경`을 탐색해 보고자 한다. 봄은 언제나 경이롭다. 영화나 문학 같은 예술 분야들, 특정 인물이나 물건들, 그밖에 인간이 만들어낸 많은 것들은 미칠듯이 좋아하다가 금방 시들해지곤 했지만 새싹이 돋고, 꽃이 피고, 해가 떠오르고, 눈이 내리는 매번 반복되는 자연현상들은 그 일상적인 풍경에도 불구하고 언제나 경이로웠다. 하여 결국 봄은 언제나 경이롭다. 올해도 봄이 왔다. 나무에는 새순이 돋고 동네 화단에는 꽃이 폈다. 어머니는 아버지와 벚꽃구경을 가신다며 설레어 하셨다. 나는 어머니께 물었다. 매년 봄마다 보는 꽃인데 나이가 드셔도 꽃이 그렇게 좋으냐고. 어머니께서 말씀하셨다. 나이가 들면 꽃이 더 좋아진단다. 이 작업은 마치 비빔밥처럼 여러 가지 요소가 뒤섞여있다. 어쩌면 정돈되지 않은 혼란스러운 면들이 우리가 살아가는 이 세상의 모습과 닮아있을지 모른다. 그 세상에 ‘던져진’ 존재인 우리들 모습처럼 나는 이미지들을 세상에 ‘던져놓는다’. 물론 내가 작업을 할 때 대상들과 교감했던 동일성의 경험들을 완전한...
