Life One Day at a Time. It’s time…. Spicy Peanut Noodles →. May 18, 2010. A classic in the Z household from “More with Less”. Saute in large pan:. 1/4 c butter; 3/4 c. chopped celery; 3/4 c. chopped onion. 6 c water; 3/4 c. lentils. Cook 20 minutes. Add:. 1 qt tomatoes, canned; 3/4 c. barley or brown rice; 2 t. salt; 1/4 t. pepper; 1/2 t. rosemary; 1/2 t. garlic salt. Simmer 45-60 minutes (I usually let it simmer for longer). Add:. 1/2 c shredded carrots. Cook 5 minutes, and serve. It’s time….

July 26, 2014. 2 cups uncooked regular rice. 2 medium onions, chopped (1 cup). 4 Tablespoons vegetable oil. 2 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce. 1 green bell pepper, chopped. 1 1/2 teaspoon chili powder. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Chop onions into small pieces. Cook rice and onion in oil in 10-inch skillet over medium heat about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until rice is golden brown and onion is tender. Ground Beef for Tacos.

January 2, 2014. So its a new year and what will it bring to us all? It’s a time for reflection on the past year and hope for what is to come. We did have some sad times with the shock loss of Aunty Rita in April – I took Mum, Dad and my sister Heather up to Wairoa/Nuhaka for the tangi we were so happy to be able to say farewell to her with the rest of the family.
