Thursday, January 17, 2013. Best Training Day Ever. Today was a great day- I think it was the weather. It's been FREEZING here in Santa Cruz and I'm a baby when it comes to cold weather. Some days I get through my whole workout never feeling like I ever got warm. Today it was 70 degrees and I was feeling good. AM workout I did my squat triple plus back offs and hit 137kg. Monday, January 31, 2011. When I mentioned to Kyle that today's workout required the use of so many different apparatuses he pointed out to me that I should say apparati. And although I do agree that it sounds way cooler my spell check says otherwise. Feb 21, 2010. I got in the gym yesterday again. I noticed my legs are starting to gain pretty quick which doesn't surprise me because I've always been a strong squatter and had a machine for a lower body it was the top of me that I had to work at. Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Squat Cleans and Burpees. Still working on my 2nd pull and the starting position and tonight it really started to come together a bit more. 5-4-3-2-1 Squat Clean 103#. This was a wonderfully short wod, but each of those last squat cleans was a fight. When you make the mistake of catching one in the power clean position and then have to squat with it, the motivation to catch each and every clean in the squat position sky rockets! Sunday, October 31, 2010. Oh, look I did something over the weekend! When Jason annouced this wod, he saw how quickly I realized that this was 50 burpees. Apparently it was all over my face. It feels super-duper to start round 2 after those burpees and then by round 5 you are agonizing over every single one. Work to a heavy single, with no chance to miss. At 243, I started to noticably slow down, so I decided that was my last attempt before I'd honestly wonder if I would make it back up without a spotter.
