View my complete profile. This message is brought to you by the letters G, B. I love this place. Recap of this week. Cleaning up my sidebar. 8,890 and counting. Just cuz, you know. I (and every other blogger I know) have been getting a lot of email requests asking me advertise or repost things I do not care about or wish to endorse. I do not make any money. Off this blog - any endorsements I may make are strictly because I am personally. Pleased with the results. Becoming a registered nurse. Yesterday ma...

patients is a virtue: November 2006
http://patientsisavirtue.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Patients is a virtue. A description of my journey from pre-reqs to patients. Saturday, November 11, 2006. Alright, alright, so I'm neglecting this blog. I know I am, and I know that there is really no excuse however, I do have a rationalization. I'm not going to use it though. This blog is for me and I refuse to feel guilty for not writing. I'll write when I'm inspired to write and feel good about that. We've just finished the bones and muscles and my entire body hurts! Posted by MSC @ 12:51 PM.

patients is a virtue: September 2006
http://patientsisavirtue.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Patients is a virtue. A description of my journey from pre-reqs to patients. Saturday, September 30, 2006. I woke up on Thursday morning to find my TiVo had died. I was devasted. I spent what little time I had before class on the phone with the service department and the prognosis was not good. I tried a hard restart and still no dice. It was frozen on the "Welcome" screen; how ironic. It was supposed to take 6-10 days for my new box to arrive but it came THE VERY NEXT DAY. Posted by MSC @ 5:59 PM. Of Se...

patients is a virtue: August 2006
http://patientsisavirtue.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Patients is a virtue. A description of my journey from pre-reqs to patients. Thursday, August 31, 2006. I had my first A and P lab exam this past Tuesday. I had planned on studying last weekend, but due to a ridiculously long government class (0800-1700), an amazingly embarrassing bar outing, and some very complicated home issues, it completely skipped my mind. I figured I'd be able to do a little catch up and be ready by Tuesday; until I saw the test sheet. 50 blank lines! To be fair though, I should ha...

About those "feminists" who give ALL of them a bad name. - Psychonurses Padded Cell. 12:06 am July 5th, 2014. About those "feminists" who give ALL of them a bad name. If I see one more freaking editorial about the Hobby Lobby brouhaha, I think I'm gonna scream! I've seen DOZENS of these over the past few days! So the eff *what* if a particular employer doesn't want to pay for your freaking birth control? Who the hell is holding a gun to your head and *forcing* you to work for such a* holes? I'm sick to d...

Ummmhappy new year, I guess. - Psychonurses Padded Cell. 01:34 am January 1st, 2010. Ummmhappy new year, I guess. I am such a silly, sentimental old bitch - I've spent the past hour and a half crying in front of my TV, watching the New Year ring in from Times Square as always. WHY was I crying, one might ask? So, yeah, happy New Year, for those of you who feel any reason to celebrate. As for me, I just want to crawl into my freaking bed and die already :( :( :(. Or Chart your nurses notes here. Another puppy??? - Psychonurse's Padded Cell
http://psychonurse46.livejournal.com/256668.html
11:02 pm March 1st, 2012. Maia's only been gone these past two weeks, and Yury's been on my case this past week because he wants ANOTHER puppy! Guess who'll be stuck doing the majority of the work? You've got it - me! Just like the last time he had it in his head that he wanted a puppy *sigh*. Don't get me wrong.I WANT another dog - eventually! Far better, in my opinion, to wait until we return from our vacation, get settled back in, and THEN look into adopting another pet! Chart your nurses notes here.

Email From Mother: The Living Will. It's important to have a living will. Just ask Maxine. It should be presumed that I won't ever get better. When such a determination is reached, I hereby instruct my appointed person and attending physicians to pull the plug, reel in the tubes, and call it a day. While I w...

Wednesday, April 16, 2008. The War Against Nurses Part II. Saloncom The War Against Nurses by Diana Reiss-Koncar. I don’t know where to start. I guess the best thing to do is to start at the beginning. Please bear with me. I had a really bad weekend. I’ve written about workplace violence. Posted by Mother Jones RN at 3:14 PM. It is...
